I never got the "I need to change TMCs mind" thing. He had opinions and I liked it when he shared them even if I did not agree. Honestly, mostly I agreed, but there were times I did not and I don't think he cared. I posted my opinion and moved on. I guess some people have to have the last word - whatever.

at least he didn't get in to flame wars to try to prove a point. The guy is a class act and his football input is missed around this place.
TMC listed only 1st and second round options. Lost of those guys aren't worth the round that TMC is suggesting we would pick them.

yes, I just can't imagine the FO reaching that far on some of these guys. I think TMC dies good work, but no way would we reach for some of those guys in those rounds...I think Tombert is better than that.

What exactly was the content? Who followed him? Sounds weird to me.

WJ3 or Billings would be excellent.
the post on the first page was similar to what TMC used to do for us.
he'd actually break down every single player (I believe at the combine) and provide pros/cons on each.
then, he'd post his picks for us.
obviously he'd miss on some picks, but he'd still - every year - put the same content out there for us to use. imagine the enormous amount of time it took to review film, read about, etc on all these players. then imagine some ******* telling you that you don't know what you're talking about and follow you to every single thread, asking about that same player in response to every post you made year after year, month after month, day after day, post after post. he got tired of it, off the board real life interrupted and he said **** it.
some of us are friends with him on FB, so we keep in touch with him. he's a good, humble guy, but years of being stalked got to him.

him and deljzic were "our scout guys" so to speak, they also have very good knowledge of the cap. I've been trying to learn from both since registering here and they regularly answer questions to the regular joes like me without any arrogance. Well, those were the good old days
Seems the only people who think Apple is not a 1st rounder are a few on here. Most "experts" easily have him in the first round. Some have him going in the top half of the 1st round. I would have no problem with him or WJ3 for our pick in the 1st.

None of the CB's at 25 are a given to start in year one the way the Steelers do things but I would start any one of them over what we had last year unless they really sucked bad in the pre-season. I would give them the start in each pre-season game to get them as much practice and playing time as possible.
Yes I remember how insightful he was and I use to come and read it even if I didn't post if I could find the time. I would have limited Internet time while deployed but I would come read. To have him leave over a turd nugget is bullshit. Is this asshat still on the board? Thanks for the answer and since you talk to him let him know that I use to read his stuff even when deployed. It would be cool to see him return and of course he may miss of players and picks. Go to espn.com or nfl.com and see the mock drafts and the insight from the so called experts and see how much the are off or they miss, it's alot.

Apple should have stayed in school for another year. OR maybe his agent thinks his value is at its highest now, and he will be exposed a bit with another season in college. He's a very boom or bust type.

Apple will likely go in round 1, and if you are draft eligible and will go in round 1 it is almost always a good decision to enter the draft. Injuries happen when players go back lowering their value and by entering the NFL the player starts earning and learning and moving towards the 2nd contract rather than playing in a very high risk low reward environment.
That said if Billings is there when we pick I would take him over any of the CBs that will be available. We are beyond thin on the DL, in much more dire need than at CB.
