You could easily wreck this kid playing him too early. Sounded like he has highest ceiling in the group but he's very raw. 4 or 5 seasons of football. Period. This kid needs to co tribute THIS year. You don’t use a first round pick on the lines and he not play the same year.
it was all reported that the ravens could take vega. Steelers did nothing.. Freeling was falling to them , but instead of being proacive they sat on their hands,, and get the 2nd rd reachThis was a head scratcher pick to me. That said Ive seen picks like Najee that I thought was a slam dunk stud. And I wouldn't say he busted but he certainly fell short of expectations. That said the part I don't get is that he's a project. They need oline help now. He will not he ready to contribute this year. Likely, Fantanau does not kick to the left this season. If this kid isn't ready to start they are not making two moves to facilitate something that will happen in 2027. Just really pissed me off that the missed field goal in the Ravens game made a 7 spot difference and they got the guy I wanted for the Steelers.......again.
Local media damage control to combat Rapoport's report. So, Khan was just calling Lemon to see how he was doing and then proceeded to use the entire clock before turning in the pick? Sure.
Actually its common for players to not play much as rookies or have extremely limited actions.. even first round picks.. in fact many first rounders who start right away end up busts...This kid needs to co tribute THIS year. You don’t use a first round pick on the lines and he not play the same year.
or was he never on the radar because B. Jones is fuxored.I’m more concerned on how did the Eagles know we had our sights on Lemon? Do we have a mole?
still waitingg on what rumors.Rumors before the draft was that they may move Fautanu to Guard... so either they think Jones will play, they are fine with Cook, or they have another plan altogether
Whoever answers that question is doing themselves a disservice. Why throw a potential future employer under the bus?Why do the Steelers reporters not ask the hard question. Were you on the phone with Lemon prior to the pick if he says no. Hes telling the truth because the kid has phone logs. If he says Im not going to talk about that. Then they most certainly were.one person asked a lame question alluding to it. Skirting around the idea.
So……you’ll have to explain this one to me. How do you figure Troy was a below average RT last season? I thought he played well as basically a rookie in a position he had never played before. After all….he was an LT.Fautanu to guard. He’s a pro bowl guard but a below average tackle. If Max can play NFL tackle that is.
I’m more concerned on how did the Eagles know we had our sights on Lemon? Do we have a mole?
Are you serious??? First Take and every sports show were talking about how the Steelers traded Pickens ( who had his franchise tag picked up with Dallas) and how they never really replaced him. Who needs a mole when you can watch idiocy play out.I’m more concerned on how did the Eagles know we had our sights on Lemon? Do we have a mole?
More like a hole in the WR roomI’m more concerned on how did the Eagles know we had our sights on Lemon? Do we have a mole?
I'm calling him "Max Anchor".Max Nacho from now on
Oh ye of little faith...We’re not getting a good receiver in this draft. Hate this pick because we could have gotten him in the second round and taken Cooper or Boston in the first.
The Steelers have 12 picks this year so I would have used some of those to trade up.This draft just played out poorly for us... there werent a bunch of off the wall picks pushing guys down and the talent pool the way it is 21 was just not a great spot for trading or picking... i think the guys from the bottom of the first all the way through the second are all about the same
My guess is they still have a lot of high end options at WR and OL was less stacked for them to wait till the second pick... id feel better if i was more certain about their oline coach
