The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to see much more production from their inside linebacker unit in 2023. With Myles Jack, Devin Bush and Robert Spillane gone, the team will call upon players such as Cole Holcomb, Elandon Roberts, Mark Robinson and Tanner Muse to fill the void. While the Steelers may feel confident in this group, it is possible that there may be at least one more addition to the room prior to the start of training camp.

I think a question that needs to be asked is why is he still available? If he's everything the article suggests, I would think he would have inked a deal by now. He looks like a good player, you wouldn't think there would be many of them left at this point.

I think Highsmith signing is looming over the team. They need to get him extended and get it over with. That would definitely set cap presence and availability to move forward.

What do you think it will take to get Highsmith under contract for 4 or 5 years? And, can the Steelers tie up that much capital in position, between him and Watt? I hope they can work it out but it seems like it will be an awfully big number.

sign Highsmith before anything else. Having our 2 OLB locked up for several years would be awesome. 1 less thing to worry about

Definitely not an easy sign. The good thing is he wants to be in Pittsburgh. Another good thing is Omar overseeing the negotiations even if he isn't primarily focusing on the cap anymore. The Steelers have proven to be very capable in negotiations.
