Steelers/Eagles Game Thread. Too early?

Yep. I almost stopped watching at that point. 1st and 30, if they get 9 yards, it's 2nd and 21 so Tomlin is saying he does not believe the defense can hold the Eagles to 9 yards or less.

That was a bad decision definitely. Not what ultimately cost the team the game but a bad decision it was.

Sadly, the Steelers defence can't cover in the passing game on any level. Pretty pitiful actually. Today showed that they are not in contention for the Superbowl. Until the passing defence is fixed they will struggle against the likes of the Eagles, Lions, Chiefs and Bills. Offensive passing game is also an abject failure without Pickens. They will be lucky to win a game in the playoffs. Texans, Broncos or Chargers will not be pushovers.

Just knee jerk reactions..lol. I had them losing today,but got angry after they gave me some hope,then took it away.

The eagles offense keeping the ball for basically the entire second half didn't help.

That place is just bad juju.

That was a bad decision definitely. Not what ultimately cost the team the game but a bad decision it was.

One of several in this game:

• Punting on 4th and 7, down by 14 in the 4th quarter.
• The declining a holding call when field position matters.
• The weird decision to wait until 20 seconds had lapsed before calling timeout with under 2 minutes to go in the 1st half.

Those are obvious coaching failures. The player failures? Too numerous to list at this point. But to be fair, the player failures are at least in part a reflection of coaching failures.

I thought the odds were stacked before the game. As Pickens being out handicapped a weak group overall. So that results in less drives and your D being on the field more against a team at home that lost only two games all season. Then in the game you had a momentum killer to pair with a so so game plan. Yeah just too much to overcome today.
