I didn’t get to see the game so I’m picking through vids/clips and found this. I assume their player got ****** upWhat a dick head.
Combative is good. It sets the tone for attitude. There is nothing wrong with Tomlins press conferences… he is a teddy bear compared to Cowher, who was as combative as you can be with the media
I agree with bus. Been watching him for 15 years and have never seen him actually coach up a player. He doesn’t call the plays, so what does Tomlin actually do? I’ve gone to camp a few times and have watched Tomlin just stand there the whole time.so you have a camera on him constantly?
Look, I get it. Nobody agrees with my view of MTs press conferences. Of course he shouldnt have to make an outline. I have never implied that he did. Its just the way he says what he says (and its what he says for that matter) of which Ive grown tired. Im not upset about it, It isnt causing me to stay up at night worrying about it. Its merely an observation that no one shares with me. No problem. I watch his press conferences when I can see or listen to them because down here where I live, we dont get a ton of Steeler coverage. Apparently most folks on here dont give a rats arse about them and any criticism of MTs interaction with the media is not warranted. Im not trying to start an argument about it. I still think for the most part, MT is a pr$ck a lot of the time after games. I wouldnt do it that way, but Im not an HC in the NFL. Maybe its just a given that when you give a post game presser, its cool to be a d$ck to the reporters----man JuJu Smith Schuster just had a 43 yrd catch and run against BUF--sort of miss him here---anyway, got distracted, back to the issue at hand-which is no real issue. Is he required to help the reporters? How much? Should he give them an outline of what they should write about?
then why keep posting about itLook, I get it. Nobody agrees with my view of MTs press conferences. Of course he shouldnt have to make an outline. I have never implied that he did. If the reporters are pr$cks to MT, then maybe he has a beef with them and doesnt want to give them good sound bytes or straight answers, and if that is the case, then so be it. But Im pretty all the media in PIT kiss the Steelers and MTs arse with softball questions so as not to get frozen out by the organization.
Anyway, I made an observation. Im the only one who feels that way. So be it. Its definitely not a big deal and it certainly does not overshadow the great win Steeler Nation and the team got today. For that I am most thankful and very happy and I certainly dont want to argue with a fellow Steeler fan about it.
***edit-- case in point-MT comes in and talks about how they dont do things based on who they are playing. They just worry about themselves. That sounds really cool and tough and all that. But then when asked a question about why the defensive backfield did a certain thing or played a certain way, MT immediately spouts off "Look who was on the other side (Tom Terrific). I mean they know its Brady across the line from them" or something to that effect. To me thats two different things and Ive gotten tired of crap like that. But its not a major deal.
Go Steelers!!! Great performance today.

I didn't see the game. What happened to the injured player? Hope it wasn't a spinal.
I am the expert
He put his head down as Jack was making the tackle. He had movement and gave the thumbs up. Reports are he was released from the hospital and flying home with the team.RHP

You're not the only person. He has a wise guy attitude with his rhetoric and I think it sets the tone for the team. I personally would like him to take more of a business attitude - maybe it would set the tone for the team to perform on a more consistent basis. Just saying.Look, I get it. Yeah got ko’d. Hit didn’t look vicious but went through like three sets of commercial breaksI didn’t get to see the game so I’m picking through vids/clips and found this. I assume their player got ****** up
I am thinking the team takes more of what they see in practice and meetings over what they randomly may or may not see in a press conference. You're not the only person.
