Steelers Lions game thread #RudolphGuideUs2aWin

Sutton drops the easiest INT that he will ever have a chance at.

Seems to be the same thing every week on the offensive and also the defensive side. I guess our coaches are happy with it.

i heard former Eagles LB Seth Joyner breaking down an eagles game. He said that at this point of the season, whatever the players are doing is either being taught or it's being tolerated. So if the guys keep making the same mistakes, the coaches must be OK with it because they're letting it slide.

Thank you Cam!

Well, hopefully, we make a few adjustments. Tomlin will simply say that they just have to execute better. No adjustments are neeeded. Same old same old. Or maybe not. Time will tell.

Lions played just about a perfect half.
I doubt they could have expected to be in this good of shape at the half.

Time for Coach T. to stymie the naysayers and come up with some great halftime adjustments.

Can we just agree that regardless of who the QB is, the play calling is just ****?

Well since they seem to have the WR reverse covered defensively today...I see a double reverse or two in the 2nd half. That should fool them. Especially if it is 2nd and short.

The worst team in the NFL is tied with the Steelers going into the half....and some think we are a contender :ROFLMAO: I can hear Tomlin if they lose or they almost lose" I think lack of familiarity obviously was a factor. Certainly we recognize and acknowledge their status as a professional football team no matter their record....we tip our hats off to them, but this was about us and at the end of the day obviously we have to get back to the lab."

D better make adjustments at halftime. They are running right down our throats. Play action will be coming in the 2nd half. Our O looked good on the first drive but throwing too much to Ray Ray. Why do we still never have Muuth streaking down the middle of the field? Or Najee with a dump off and let him make something happen. At least Rudolph looks like he can move the team. They will need at least 2 TD's in the 2nd half to win and maybe more. I have no confidence Tomlin will make any (or the correct ones if he does make any) adjustments at halftime. Our D has been worse in the 2nd half of games lately. That absolutely cannot be the case today. We need turnovers and we need to shut them down.

P.S. Still have no idea why Miller and McFarland aren't activated and playing. Najee came out limping at one point. If he stays out, we have no one to really take over. And, Miller could at least run deep and take a CB and or a S with him. Something to open up the field.

You don't watch much Steelers football I guess.
Lions haven't won a game. I'm sure they're THRILLED to be in it at this point. Particularly after what I understand was an impressive opening drive by the Steelers.

I think teams expect to be in at least decent shape against the Steelers. The Steelers allow it every week. Why would any team expect anything different?

Our Coaches just don’t put our players in position to make plays pure and simple Im turned this mess off got better stuff to do. call me when we figure out how to pass the ball past the line of scrimmage.. run a simple trap… maybe a sweep.. or stop the other team when it matters! Go Steelers!

The offense needs a lot more WR screens and shallow crossing patterns.

I know, I know, the mighty Lions defense is crushing those plays which is why they will be shocked - SHOCKED! - when the team starts the 2nd half with 8 straight WR screens and shallow crossing patterns!!

Goff is 4 of 7 for 11 yards and we are letting them run all over us. Make Goff throw the ball. Butler and Tomlin suck.

I can only assume that Matt Canada is NOT the problem with this short passing game. They've been stuck in this mode for 3 years now. I have to believe that for some reason Tomlin thinks THIS is the offense of the future and he's requiring the O coords to implement it.
