No excuse for this performance. Bad schemes , bad coaching, bad execution. This team will lucky to finish above .500.
 
Not sure in all the time I have been a Steeler fan I have watched such a bad showing in all phases. The game ball goes to the punter, that is it that is our bright star. All we heard all week was how bad Houston's lines were both defense and offense. Who started that lie. Tomlin two plays in had that look we all love to see and it has gone down hill since. The score does not come close to the play n the field.
 
That's probably the worst half of Steeler football I have watched in over 20 years and I'm not kidding! Terrible team performance and the Defense and Offensive Coordinators not making any adjustments at all the entire first half! Defensively they are sending at 5 or 6 guys rushing and not getting home....sitting in zone coverage and being picked apart by a Rookie QB maing his 4th NFL start. Cmon Austin....make some adjustments. Offensively we are seeing the Texans goto a quick passing game and it's working great to elminate the threat of the Steelers pass rush while Matt Canada is dropping Pickett and letting him sit back there and get absolutely pounded and Canada still doesn't call or make adjustments to a quick 3 step and throw passing game. If you can't see this is a problem with the Head Coach and our Coordinators then your a ******* moron! This entire coaching staff needs to be BLOWN UP! And it all starts with Mike Tomlin!
 
No Ben or elite D to bail out the never losing season coach

Yeah he's the problem........if you are still trying to pin this all on just him, you're just ******* bias. This team is an embarrassment from head to toe, Pickett is only piece of this ****** puzzle. Sure put in Mitch, put in Rudolph, hell sign/trade for some ex Alabama QB so you can bust your nuts about it. It'll be the same ******* offense we've seen since 2020...... absolutely nothing....will.....change
 
On the positive side....we are only down 2 scores.🤪

A phantom PI on Minkah early and a ridiculous PI on Muuth. So, what adjustments will we make at halftime on O? Will they make any?

KP had the one int that was basically a punt (still not sure why Nelson wasn't down by contact on that one). Other than that, they aren't even looking downfield or in the middle. No in-game adjustments so far. Do they go hurry up? They need 2 TD's just to get back in the game.

Stroud pretty much throws to his first read, the guy he is staring at, on most plays.

Canaduh and Tomlin are both getting severely outcoached in this one.

The Defense is gassed because the offense cant stay on the field . The D knows its all on them and they have no confidence in the offense.

I dont understand how ArtII can allow this. I dont live in Pittsburgh so I have no idea what kind of guy ArtII is, but he seems like he must be easily fooled and will believe anything because he has allowed Tomlin to firmly entrench his once proud franchise in mediocrity. This team has some problems and they are not quick fixes. Canada could be fired but what will that do if the OLine cant block and keep the QB upright or open a hole for Najee or Jaylin?

I hope Andy Weidl and Omar Khan will continue to upgrade the roster, but the coaching (or lack therof) is the main problem. To use a Tomlinism, it is NOT VARSITY
 
We look like we are in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes.

It will not matter one bit if we do not shitcan this entire offensive philosophy.

well the good news if there's any it's that Kenny Pickett is 3 for 3 throwing behind the line of scrimmage for -4 yards total.
 
Matt Canada needs to go. He needs to be fired RIGHT NOW. Nothing will ever change when he is running this offense.

The first half showing has to convince even Mike Tomlin that the guy is incompetent. The absolute fetish with the dangerous, unsuccessful 5-yard out can join Canada on the unemployment line.
 
Did you see all the fans still cheering as this team came off at half. This team and coaching staff should hide their faces. The stas are a laugh and it is the same every game. Highest paid defense has been made to look very foolish today.
