Steelers Texans game thread.

I dont understand how ArtII can allow this. I dont live in Pittsburgh so I have no idea what kind of guy ArtII is, but he seems like he must be easily fooled and will believe anything because he has allowed Tomlin to firmly entrench his once proud franchise in mediocrity. This team has some problems and they are not quick fixes. Canada could be fired but what will that do if the OLine cant block and keep the QB upright or open a hole for Najee or Jaylin?

I hope Andy Weidl and Omar Khan will continue to upgrade the roster, but the coaching (or lack therof) is the main problem. To use a Tomlinism, it is NOT VARSITY

I don’t live in the burgh either, but I think Deuce is just happy collecting the money. Typical in family owned businesses in that the 3rd generation is the worst.
 
Pickett calling plays at the LOS couldn’t possibly be worse than the plays Canada calls. Stroud is already much better than Kenny.
 
That was all around awful. This game is pretty much over.
They'd better bring out a different team after the half or this one is in the books.

It's pretty bad when a rag tag offensive line and rookie qb can being given a game plan to carve you up.

It's not even competitive.

Chico, Austin was a busher in Detroit and Cincy getting run off from both teams as their DC. Got fired in season when with the Bengals. He’s a horrible DC but Shades hires him.
We all know Canada’s mo! The guy has zero business as an NFL OC. Zero!

His coaches are definitely much better than ours. I'd wager my left kidney he would fare just the same in this God awful offense.

Because Kenny is obviously an extremely good QB only being held back by Canada… 😂 💀
 
FU Tomlin and Rooney for keeping the worst offensive coordinator in the last 10 years of this league, Canada would not survive this long on any other team, or most college teams.

FU all Tomlin boot lickers for sticking their chests out about this team and coaching staff this week and giving them cover when the offense was barely average for 1 week and bad weeks 1-2, I'm looking at you Big Deke
 
Tomlin says "we have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot on offense", ok then shoot matt Canada out of the stadium, otherwise stfu because you have no plans and no changes in mind and it'll be just as bad as the first half. I'm so tired of it
 
9 completions for 35 yards. 3.8 per completion. That's the offense. In college you just throw short passes and there's tons of open field and guys run after catch. In the NFL it's a short gain. That's the staple of the canada offense.

Yeah, sure. Couple screen passes, a few passes over the wide-open middle of the field to uncovered receivers.

Put him in Matt Cana-DUH's dumbfuck offense with this blocking and let's see how he does.

Art was just a nice guy who would have never won anything had Dan not started making the decisions. Dan was the true football guy, raised in the team environment and always involved with it.
Art 2 is a lawyer who wasnt as involved with the team as his dad was growing up.. hopefully his son is vastly different
 
No Mike the O isn't shooting themselves in the foot, it is incompetent.

The Texans marched down the field on the first drive of the game. The defense didn't even have a chance to get gassed.

They cannot stop the run and the secondary is missing too many tackles. The pass rush is about the only thing they have going for them and it hasn't shown up today.

You know..... you say all this. But who did all the hiring and retaining of these coaches? When will that guy be held accountable? Blow it all up folks. I am not a Tomlin basher. Just a realist. It’s time for some fresh air.
