Steelers VS asterisks game thread.

It's almost like the COwboys coaches are fixing their mistakes from last week and adjusting the gameplan to play to their QBs strengths. Don't they know they can just sit back and blame the QB?

You better hope Pickett, when he gets in, looks like the second coming of Dan Marino .... immediately.
Because if he doesn't .... Oooooh Weee. All that WHINING will have been for naught.
Disagree, Mitch is what he is. Pickett may struggle some but be learning and getting better. That ship has sailed for Mitch.

If Canada were fired today he wouldn't even get a job offer in the XFL.

The defense played well. They were absolutely gassed at the end. I think we all know T.J. changes the whole dynamic. They are good without him but elite with him. The offense was just dog **** on a one-hundred-degree day terrible. If you have DJ, Chase, Pickens, and Friermuth and don't throw at least four long bombs of 50 or more yards, you're completely wasting the game plan. That is all on Canada. Tribusky is not an accurate passer. He has no ability to throw a receiver open. His best attribute is his running ability, which he barely uses. I would much rather see Kenny Pickett throw the ball down the field and make mistakes and some plays than watch another week of check-down Mitch. That offense was barely watchable.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing that it appears Pickett will be the better QB.
I'm just noting that all the darned whining about Mitch not being sat and Pickett not getting a shot right now is getting excessive.
In fact, tossing Pickett in to start against the Bengals in their home opener after coming off a SB appearance and Belicheat's ***s defense would not have been a smart idea.

No I agree with that. But We have given him some buffer now. I would not start him on a short week but have a short leash. If nothing changes I make the change for the Jets so I can see his first start in person.

When other teams suck....we don't look too bad.

Can somebody - anybody? - please explain why the Steelers did not go back to the no-huddle after their first use resulted in a long TD drive?

Anybody??

They don't trust Mitch ... so fell back on Canada. I understand why that is 1000% dumbassery, but that is what we see. Odd, how we were down but two scores and we opened up. Not unlike what Ben did last year and the year before. Canada has to be taken out of the play calling before we move the ball. I think Pickett is a better choice but it will not matter for any point in which Finctner 2.0 (i.e. Canada) is the play caller.

Why does he not run when he has a WIDE OPEN field in front of him?? On the play where he rolled left and took a sack, he had an easy 10 yard gain if he tucks and runs.

Jesus Christ, I thought he learned by watching Josh Allen last year. Hey Trushitsky, Allen tucks and runs when he sees a wide open field.

We got zero pass rush today. Jones had enough time to wait for his receivers to get open. That was the difference in my opinion.
