Steelers VS asterisks game thread.

Can somebody - anybody? - please explain why the Steelers did not go back to the no-huddle after their first use resulted in a long TD drive?

Anybody??
Simple - "We don't deviate from the plan." Been this way for years. When something works, why stick with it?

Anyway, it's obvious this team can't rely solely on TJ, Minkah, and Cam. It's gonna be a long year or possibly a bunch of them. I say start Kenny against the Jets.

Sounds good to me since I will be in town. I can be there from the beginning.

Because Canada doesn’t believe in having more than 5-10 plays for the no huddle and we already used them all, he was living in his fears of having to call the same plays again.

That’s my best explanation for the actions of our inept OC

Best explanation I've heard so far.

Let me explain this again since we pretty much have had it on repeat since 2008…

Somewhere in the early to mid 2000’s they ****** up the rules enough that the statistical advantage to aggressive offense was no longer slanted to the defensive side… the dbs had to learn to take a less physical approach to playing the pass, particularly over the middle… this led to teams like the colts exploiting it with up tempo offenses… other teams coaching staffs prefer to play a more controlled, conservative approach…

Once those teams get desperate and start taking chances they often can score… like how the Pats scored throwing at good coverage before the half…

We just don’t exploit that

You may need to re-read my question. Your answer seems to be why the Steelers should CONTINUE to use the no-huddle.
