Steelers VS Raiders #Immaculate game thread.

Realizing that you never answer direct questions, I'll ask anyway.

Are you honestly satisfied with the offensive play calling that Matt Canada is delivering, and do you believe that he should be retained?

A few thoughts from the game:

-If you dressed appropriately, it wasn’t that cold last night. It was also a crowd of what felt like a bunch of first timers. Very energetic and happy to be there.

-The end zones and block numbers were awesome. Ai thought the team and family handled Franco’s ceremony well. Though, I would’ve liked to see more career highlights throughout the game.

-Kenny needs to make more plays, but O also feel the staff wants him play be conservative. Kenny hs a bit of gunslinger in him and I look forward to the day it comes down. As frustrating as he can be, that last drive showed us something.

-Speaking of cold, never did I think I’d see the day where so many offensive linemen and defenders wore sleeves for the Steelers. Last night was the night and it was probably smart to be warm rather than look tough.

No. And I’m not convinced Pickett is the Steelers QB of the future.

I was hoping for a Franco version of Renegade

Illuminati confirmed.

It’s in the number 13

Dan Marino.
Marino rhymes with kachino. Which means like sicko or pervert in spanish.

Illuminati. Government. Pervert spooks messing with us all subconsciously.

:eek::flame::ranger:
As the Spanish expert in this forum I have to refute this. More like Marino rhymes with Pacino, who played a drug kingpin in scarface , so is the government controlling the drug trafficking to control the masses, etc, etc...

Where's Wig when you need him to unroll some conspiracy theories?

You speak better spanish than I. I’m too american-ized. Funny thing is I am hispanic and japanese. I speak neither language. My grandpa can speak both languages fluent. My aunts and uncles and my dad know enough dialect in both.

I can say pinche cavron though

The Steelers production crew put together another pretty sweet defensive hype video package this year to this song. The first time they played it this season it instantly got the crowd pumped and the players seem to get fired up on the field as well. I hope this sticks around beyond this season.

Yeap is my natural language, born and grown in Venezuela, my mom is from here too, my dad from Portugal. Learned English by choice really, I really like languages and been a rock and movies fan I had to learn it to understand it all in their original idiom

Sweet! Nice background story

THIS is Canaduh's third year but it's a matter of was he extended with the promotion to OC? If that is the case then yes, he has another year.
It's my understanding (via DK's site) that he signed a new, 3 year contract when he received the promotion.

In that case I'd say it's a better than 50/50 chance that he's back next year.
Do I think Art The Deuce would rather have a horrible offense and stunt the growth of a good young QB for a year rather than fire someone and pay them not to work?
Yes, absolutely.

Yes, absolutely.
And that's the issue. Tomlin could realize that Canada needs to be gone. He could actually want him to be gone. Just like Ben wanted Haley gone. But, Deuce controls the purse strings; and, he doesn't let anyone be "fired". He just lets their contracts run out. Or, in the case of last year's OL coach, hopes they find employment elsewhere in a way that lets him off the hook.

Well, you'll get another 3 years, minimum, to whine and complain about him.
What makes you think that? Rudolph was the heir apparent to Ben and the Steelers didn’t give him anywhere near four years as a starter to develop.

Tomlin has never asked for anyone to be fired either. My take after watching for 16 years is that he has a pathological avoidance to change. Anything. Ever.
Kinda like my mom but she's 87 and getting Alzheimer's.
Virtually everyone gets promoted from within. Everyone hired from outside is someone that Shades knows already. Sometimes that's okay, I get that, but it's all he ever does. Deuce too for that matter. Did anyone really think that the new GM was going to be anyone other than Omar Khan?

1. Rudolph wasn’t a first-round pick.
2. At no point during his tenure did Rudolph even flash the ability to be anything better than a low-end starter. He failed the eye test at every opportunity.

1. The team was always talking him up by saying "We had a first-round grade on him" to try to make drafting him in the third look like a deal. Kinda makes ya question their talent evaluation, huh? Devin Bush, Artie Burns, and the Jones brothers, Landry and Jarvis, say hi.
2. I've always said he is an adequate backup and spot starter but no more than that.

You don't draft a QB in the third thinking he is the heir apparent. They had a real close look at him when Ben went down. As well as training camps. If that doesn't impress, your period of time they are willing to give you to develop shortens quickly.

Absolutely on point 1. It was either a terrible talent evaluation or just a flat out lie to pump him up. I never believed it because if you have a first-round grade on a quarterback, you aren't taking guys like Terrell Edmunds and James Washington over him.

Reasonable point, but Roethlisberger had not shown any decline by the off-season Rudolph was drafted and the Steelers were coming off a 13-3 season

It's possible that they truly did have a first round grade on Rudolph, but having legitimate Superbowl aspirations at the time, prioritized immediate help in other areas over the future of the QB position and truly thought they robbed the league getting Rudolph in the third, but that was "Tombert" for you.

KP has improved and shown a lot compared to Rudolph and I was a Rudolph fan when he was coming out of college. KP was thrown into a **** show with a terrible O-line and a terrible college OC. KP has shown many signs he can be a winner in this league. I am not writing him or any rookie QB off like you and many others on here seem to be. I'll look to the positive and you can keep looking to the negative.

The first round pick is a sunk cost, everyone should hope that that will have nothing to do with Pickett’s tenure a couple years from now.
