Steelers VS the rats game thread #ActionButNoJackson

How many are playing against a back up and undrafted practice squad rookie 3rd string QB. The defense made certain we had no chance to win this game, regardless of the turnovers.
Irrelevant. When you turn the ball over in scoring position that many times you almost always lose no matter who you are playing. The Ravens are a good running team regardless of QB. Defense held them to 16, that is good enough to win going away if we get even one of those picks as a TD.

My view is the defense didn’t lose this game, that’s on mitch. That said, they could have won it
Very equal suck on both sides of the ball, this team is softer than Charmin. Soft in the trenches.

Blocked FG and Mitch basically left another 6 (2 ints. within fg range).... 9 points left on the field. This was on Mitch and special teams. (17 YD. punt didn't help either).

How the **** can you say irrelevant of the Qb. Cmon. It took away pass on 80 percent of the plays that has a pretty significant effect on run.

Definitely should have had that one despite all the setbacks. You know they are going to run...Stack the ******* line. Make the FA QB beat you. If he does, so be it

Really. They were down to a third string Q and they let them off the one. Let them get to a two score field goal and let them run it out. No they don't get the biggest piece of the **** sandwich. But they took a bite sorry.
Screw that… 16 points allowed? That is more than acceptable… all offense and special team’s failures today

Some will foucus blame on Trubisky and rightfully so, those pics are on him, but Canada's offense is the sum of its parts, a bottom of the league defense going on 2 straight years. Coaches should be evaluated on big picuture results, not let off the hook for this reason and that, Canada sucks. We throw him a party when they score 19 points and then run out the clock against a bad Colts team, that says a lot about his effectiveness....

He should be gone but I fear he'll have just enough excuses and tiny flashes of competence to stay

Because it is irrelevant statistically. No matter how you want to argue it this loss sits on Mitch’s shoulders. Defense could have pulled out a miracle but it would be just that statistically. They did their job in only giving up16. Yes they could have won it but they didn’t lose it, Mitch did.

Dude, show me the teams that win when the defense surrenders 215 rushing yards. I’ll wait.
You are clueless, If we don’t turn the ball over those three times in the redzone they have to throw and it never happens. Even with those 200 yards they only scored 16, that is more than good enough without Mitch ******** down his leg.

4 games left with nothing really to play for. I'm ok with Pickett and Watt sitting out the string. Let Canada go and allow Mitch to draw up plays in the dirt....can't be any worse.

The D didn't give the team a chance to win with the ****** run defense. This was a complete team loss. Not one phase of the team can be excluded. I put a lot on Mitch but the D did the team no favors and have been below mediocre all year.

If our offense was competent this defense would be top 10. Yes we struggle against the run and it needs fixed but that being said if we get leads more often we would be able to get back to doing what we do best, rushing the passer. Offense can make or break a defense. Playing close games magnifies problems on defense when we don’t score. They are not as good as we want them to be but they are not as bad as the offense can make them look.

Definitely a team loss.. All facets of the game. Very frustrating but not unexpected...

Mitch eats the biggest bite. But I will say it wasn't looking promising with Kenny I there. I'm thinking less turnovers and more punts. But absolving the defense when you get your *** handed to you vs. The run is tone deaf too.

I am not absolving them entirely, they didn’t win the game. But they didn’t lose us this game. Even if we make that last stop there is no sure thing we score. We should have had a lead in this one. Probably a multi score lead, without changing anything the defense did.

We need to get rookies and young players more time from here on out on defense to see what they have and get them experience. Winning is now irrelevant this year, teaching and evaluating what we may have are now paramount.
Tomlin's not down for that

So it’s on the Steelers offense to force the Ravens offense to throw the ball. Who’s clueless?
