Stop all the playoff talk

I laugh when they show them "In the hunt" lol.

48 years of Steeler football I never was happy when they lost till now.....

Need those 3 and 4 win teams to win some games here at the end too.

I’ve been saying since our sixth loss that we will find some ******* way to finish 8-8-1 and still be in the bottom half of the draft because we are just thrilled with mediocrity these days

So, it's been six years since we won a playoff game? I don't think we had a stretch like that even during the 80's. It's starting to feel like before long we'll be an organization wondering how many years it's been since we made the playoffs.

NBC just said we're in the hunt.
Gotta keep the spirits of the insane gamblers up so they put down long odds $$ on us. ;)

This team had virtually no playoff hopes after the loss to the Bengals… even if they had won out. Lol who besides tge media was talking playoffs?
The Tomlin Fan Club in the FB group and if you point out his playoff failures you're a racist.

The min Watt was injured I knew this team was not going to playoffs. I thought they could win 10 with him. Which was probably a little high. But they were ****** when he got hurt. And the offense and Qb play has been abysmal.

Shades has been one-and-done in the playoffs many times with much better teams than this.
Currently tied with Marvin Lewis for most first round playoff losses by a head coach all-time. If we do manage to squeak into the playoffs (not likely) and Shades has his usual first round loss then he moves into first place.

Well, then that would tarnish his “never a losing season” mantra as well.

Salute the nation

See reading that tied with Lewis stat shows me more than some of his supporters would care to admit. When the game is on the line when it matters most, the Steelers are too often at their worst.

We need a playoff capable HC. One that can make the right decisions to get a playoff win. We arguably do not have that.

We definitely do not have that.

Correct, 6 years without a playoff win is the longest stretch since Chuck Noll was hired in 1969. Soon to be 7 years.

Also the only coach whose team allowed opponents to score 40 or more points in three consecutive playoff games and score over 200 points over four consecutive playoff games.

Very embarrassing statistic.

I sat in the stadium on Sunday seeing highlights of Troy, Ben, etc. on the jumbotron and thinking back to the Steelers-Ravens AFC Championship game. It was the most physical game I've seen in my life. I also sat there wondering when we'll see a playoff atmosphere in the stadium again, let alone another conference championship game at home. I grew up seeing 6 of these games in 15 seasons. Now I don't have any confidence this team will rebuild into a serious contender anytime soon unless there is a major change in direction starting this offseason. Given how they've treated the past two or three offseasons, I am not holding my breath.

We will win a few more games this season, but this is not a playoff team as is.

They are soft. They need better Oline, another WR weapon, and they need new coaching that can actually game plan.

I will never say to mail it in… but a couple higher draft picks will help.
Who was talking playoffs as of 5:18 yesterday?

Higher draft picks won’t help the Steelers if they are of the Tim Worley, John Reinstra, Huey Richardson or Devin Bush variety.

Sorry but I don't think Watt is that much of a difference. This team is just bad. From the top down. Ben isn't here now and some major flaws are showing.

How has this not graced this thread yet?
