Super Bowl LIX

From what I’ve been hearing from the media and sports talk shows is how fortunate the Chiefs were this year.
The internet is flooded with examples and stories about the lucky Chiefs.
How the ball has always bounced in their favor. Beating Denver on an easy missed field goal. Winning on doink field goals.
Having a relatively weak schedule, they beat four teams by 2 points, while winning games on an average of 4 points.

Not to mention the favorable officiating they received which has been brought up on this board.
This doesn’t even include the refs screw up against the Steelers (probably because they would have beaten the Steelers regardless)

Lucky ********!!
The Chiefs were exposed as the frauds they are last night. I didn't watch a lick of it last night as I had better things to do and from what I'm hearing, the game, the half time show, and the commercials were all lousy.

Unfortunately they will be at the top of the NFL for ad long as PM and Reid or together

I don't know about frauds....Winning 14 games in the regular season doesn't qualify for fraudulent status like winning 10 games does.

Philly is a heart attack to prepare for now. They have the best defense in the league. They kill the QB with a 4 man rush. They have a passing game. The best RB in the game. Hurts can run the ball.

I hate Philly but you have to admit that game last night looked a lot like a couple of the Super Bowls the Steelers won in the 70s.

I think the Chiefs can beat every other team in the league except that team.

This game reminded me of the one chiefs / Bengals game. Mahomes was just getting battered all game. The Chiefs had injuries on the oline and i think they replaced their whole oline in the offseason

Yeah, they had to move their LG to LT. I think the only guy that was there that started the year was Creed Humphrey. The Oline was totally dominated.

Creed Humphry, Passed up by Tomlinism twice.

Pickett now has more snaps in a super bowl than the Steelers over the last 15 years (and a ring).

Obviously, that will compensate for his hand size........................

Not sure about that. They still have a damn good coachand damn good qb.

I'm pretty sure Reid is on a year X year contract and says he will be back for at least one more year.

I see his time remaining very limited to next year and then quite possibly done.

I think he is a tired man, ready for the good years of life remaining.

The Chiefs will be in contention every year that Reid is the coach and PM is there. Gronk pointed out after the game the Eagles did the same thing his Bucs did to the Chiefs when Tampa Bay beat the Chiefs in the super bowl. They put a lot of pressure on PM to make him uncomfortable causing him to throw interceptions. The Chiefs have won two Super Bowls since then, so the blueprint is easier to say how to do it then actually execute it against PM.

I don't know what constitutes a dynasty these days, but the Chiefs have played in five of of the last six super bowls, winning three of them. For those keeping score that's five super bowls in the same time the Steelers have won zero playoff games. My youngest kids are Chiefs fans and it tears at my soul. My youngest even likes the Lions more than the Steelers to show how far the Steelers have fallen regarding being competitive over Tomlin's reign.

All the BS calls that earned them wins, so much so that the Commish and head of officiating felt the need to address it openly to the press. There is blatant evidence pointed out by countless people online and I believe that due to this, the Refs couldn't possibly hand this game to the Chiefs. This game was under a spotlight far too bright to ignore.

Nah, the Chiefs will return to mediocrity next year, just like the Steelers did with Noll, just like the Pats did with Belechick…doesn’t matter who the coach is.

Some like to limit the "free ride" to just a couple plays during the playoffs. Those questionable calls happen all season. It only takes a couple drive stoppers (opposing team's) to change an outcome. Add in the "extend drives", allows for game change as well. Chefs received both of those advantages through out the season.

You're very right on the Superbowl game being to bright a stage for any of this hanky-panky to take place.

The once loud and proud Steeler “brand” only appeals to baby boomers - gen z & millennials these days..

The Egles are definitely what Tomlin want’s Pittsburgh to be but he can’t help but get in his own way to keep his standard mediocre. Weidel and Khan give him the best players they can with what they got but Tomlin elects to start the mediocre ones and play them out of position (see Broderick Jones).

I guess time will tell. I'm not going to defend the Chiefs since I don't really care about them. Mediocrity as in pre Andy Reid? Looking at their last ten years alone, they have been really good with a record that would make even Tomlin jealous.

If Reid sticks around another couple of years, I expect them to continue to be near the top while he is around. It's the difference between having an average and great coach and staff.

How do you pass on a player named Creed.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach 2021 ——————- 1-1 in the SB

Tomlinized Steelers head coach 2007 ——————- 1-1 in the SB, 2021 to current PO wins—— 0

Over Tomlins Career, as the Cowher players left, he has been supplied with very good talent and yet has achieved very little in post season play (8yrs no PO win)

Change is needed, but this current coaching staff is your answer.

I still think that is why the cheats weren't gifted the sb ring the year they went undefeated. To make that happen after all the (Correct) calls of favoratism in that undefeated season would have been to easy to spot.
