Super Bowl LVII

I wonder if Terry is going to retire...

I have no issue with the hold call. He grabbed jersey. Then grabbed a second time which wasn't as bad. If the first grab didn't occur then sure....it would have been a bad call. The first grab is what warranted the flag.

My sister hit me up at half time, and told me that her son was going to be in the commercial for the "Hegetsus.com" website. He was the radical with the bullhorn yelling at the cop. So we turned it on. Good ending.

I agree with Stillwright - the first hold as Juju turned was the hold that deserved a flag, if at all.

No skin in the game, and my biggest gripe is the people saying "you can't make that call at this part of the game"

Like somehow a penalty isn't a penalty because it's the fourth quarter in a tie game. Get out of here with that BS.

Calls shouldn't change based on where the game is or the score. It was a hold and the defender chose a really bad time to do it. No different than the late hit on Mahomes two weeks ago. ****** time to mess up, but it's still a penalty.
But the play two weeks was red letter. There are going to be a hundred issues with this play. Including his proximity to the LOS. In a jam there is a lot of hands on. If it was a 50/50 call that could have prevented the Chiefs from winning it would be different. The optics of the guy sliding at the one. Them kicking the game winner. I'm telling you it's just bad.

The slide was a heads up play, what's wrong about it?

Its bad because you're pissed that the chiefs won. Quit crying

I agree. It was a clear jersey grab on the first grab. Jersey in hand. It will be interesting once we see it on slow motion on YouTube. If that was us in there ,we would be screaming bloody murder that it was a hold. Especially on a shorter timing route like that. Disrupts everything. KC scored on every drive in the second half. Every drive. Against this supposed great D line. KC deserved to win. Their OLine was incredible. Led by Creed.

Because the refs decided the game with a ticky tack call on a play where there is no.physical way he makes. Instead of the game being decided on the field it was decided by the ref.
******* hollywood script for sure.

Stupid ending to an otherwise entertaining game. Correct flag or not, there's something wrong about having an offense trying not to gain yards and a defense not defending at the very end of a game.

And Kelce needs to shut the hell up, so insufferable.

It has nothing to do with the slide giving bad "optics".

I don't know, man, I watched the play, and the replay, that ball was 8 to 9 yards past him, you think that small tug equals that much yardage? That's a bad ******* call in my book. But I don't have a dog in the fight so whatever.

I agree, it seemed to me as a BS call at first. Then on the replay with the first grab you think ok, there's a flag there. But as you say, the pass was way over for juju to be able to get it anyway, so it shouldn't be a flag

Pretty much this…

It was a hold. Not PI. He was held before the ball was in the air.

This is my point of the optics of it. It looks stupid.

I was listening on radio. the annoucer said that on the slide, the runners foot went into the endzone therefore TD. I did not go back and rewatch but assumed he gave himself up before foot sliding into endzone. did tv announcers bring this up?

If the Eagles were the Steelers is that your opinion. That was a good call in that situation. Yes or no?
Oh Sask. if that was Pickins and someone slowed him down an instant with a grab of jersey in that situation and it wasn’t called this site would be going full on mental. I can hear it now. How Goodall and the league have always hated the Steelers...blah....blah....blah. The game was lost because the Eagles D let the Chiefs score on every possession in the second half. And let them drive right down the field on the last possession.
