US not involved. Our corrupt Muslim Brotherhood terrorist loving regime of Obama left out...

The Syrian government and the opposition have agreed to a nationwide ceasefire due to start at midnight, in a breakthrough truce aimed at ending the bloody five-year war.

The ceasefire deal follows talks between Turkey, Russia, and Iran and could potentially pave the way for a lasting political agreement.

Moscow and Ankara, which support opposing sides in the war, promised to act as guarantors. The Russian defence minister, said the truce will include 62,000 opposition fighters across Syria but will exclude Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (Isil) and the formerly al-Qaeda-linked Islamist group Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (JFS).

Syrian Kurds may well be allowed their own semi-autonomous territory in the northeast, much like Kurdistan in Iraq.

Such cooperation between Russia and Turkey would have been unthinkable until recently. The deal, which was reached without the US, also underscores the West’s diminishing role.

More sand kicked in Kerry and Obama's useless faces. Maybe there's a chance for peace now that the weakling appeasers are out.

I think midnight would be a good time to bomb the **** out of Syria.

Why should we? Let them carve up Syria anyway they want. Move all the Palestinians there, then bomb it maybe.

John Kerry often came up empty-handed

John Kerry was late to his own party.

Staffers, journalists and other officials were gathered in the ornate Benjamin Franklin salon at the State Department on Dec. 14 for early Christmas festivities. But the secretary of State was nowhere to be seen.

Kerry was on the telephone to various world leaders, trying to find out about a major diplomatic meeting — from which the United States had been excluded.

The gathering, which sought to broker a resolution to the devastating Syrian conflict, took place six days later in Moscow and involved the foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey.

The Obama administration — specifically Kerry — had led repeated efforts to craft a diplomatic solution to ease or end the bloodshed in Syria. In the end, he was left out of the first successful cease-fire for Aleppo and a major humanitarian rescue operation.
