Target Down 5 Billion Since Embracing Trans Bathroom Policy

Sandusky set up a foundation to prey on little boys, he was a little more advanced than your bathroom peeping tom about to take the next step into there perversion.

You missed the point entirely. This problem of people using public bathrooms to prey on victims has not been recently created, it already existed, and having gender specific bathrooms does not prevent it.

99% of public toilets that arent urinals have stalls and doors. This is literally the least logical issue we have debated here in forever. I have no idea what junk anyone has in the restrooms... never bothered to peek, never will... total non issue

I suspect Targets policy is more about reaching out to LBGT consumers and less about actually assuring freedom of bathroom choice.

The real irony in this thread is that many of you have argued that policies and laws should be based on individual rights and freedom, not concerns of the many.

you don't seem to know the difference between freedom and anarchy.

You missed the point entirely. This problem of people using public bathrooms to prey on victims has not been recently created, it already existed, and having gender specific bathrooms does not prevent it.

of course it doesn't prevent it, but it makes it easier for predators when a man can freely walking into a women's locker room.

You say parents should accompany their children? Is a parent with their children everywhere? How about a 16 year old girl at the mall with her friends?

These policies are now being forced on schools. So now any boy at school can walk into the girl's room at any time.

Funny that all these liberals are screaming about "war on women" and put forth the lie of there being a "rape culture" on college campuses. These policies hugely increase the threats to women.

What happens when a guy demands to live in a female dorm?

What about 13 year-old boys going to the mall and using the restroom. Why are you only concerned about heterosexual assaults?

I went to IUP. First University in the United States to have co-ed dormitories, I think in the 60s, not sure but well before I went there in the late 80s. It wasn't uncommon to see a girl walking down the hall wrapped in a towel. No rape problem.

This is simply an idealistic distraction. As far as I can tell crossdressers, androgenous and other TG type people have been using the opposite sex's bathrooms for ages without anyone really noticing, and there are plenty of places with unisex bathrooms. Just a simple way to get the public lined up into their typical political lines while something else slips by entirely.

Nope, it doesn't prevent it. It exacerbates the problem.

Peeping tom. Prior, he had to figure out and gain access. He could well be busted walking in the door to the showers. Or he'd sucker his girlfriend into taking the camera in. Bottom line, he had to gain access. It was a challenge. Now? The door is open to the hen house. He and fellow pervs are wringing their hands together. Access is granted. Permitted. Allowed. Target - all you have to do is say 'I identify as a woman.' You can be wearing work boots, Wranglers and a flannel shirt. They have to let you into the women's changing rooms. They can't and won't harass them. So now, he goes in, without any barrier to entry and sets up his cameras and pretends to be changing clothes - for 3 hours.

Prior, if a woman noticed a man was in the dressing room (or shower, or bathroom), it was an instant alarm - "Man in the ladies room!!" complete with screams - and the problem would get rectified very quickly.

Now, no one can sound an alarm that a man is in the dressing room. He'll now have to be caught in the act of doing something surreptitious. Much harder to do and identify now with the ever developing market of wearable cameras and micro-cameras.

The problem is opening the door.

And the problem - which already is one and is instantly on the rise - will get worse.

Others have answered your specious argument. I'm surprised we have to explain this to you this simply, and/or why you're in denial that there is already a growing problem on our hands. I can point to dozens of articles where men have been recently caught pretending to be transgender to pull off their pervy crimes. So why do you believe it not so?

Man Arrested After Claiming To Be Transgender, Filming Women In Restroom (Video)

Jason Pomare, 33, entered the bathroom in Palmdale, California at Macy’s, wearing a bra and dress and what happens next should not surprise you. He sets up a hidden camera in one of the stalls and for the next two hours, tapes women using the bathroom.

Eventually, one woman noticed the camera with the record light on and notified mall security, who arrested Pomare. There was absolutely no way for anyone to see this coming, was there?

NBC Los Angeles reported that charges were filed Tuesday against a man who wore a wig and women’s clothing to disguise himself as he allegedly used a concealed camera to record “hours” of video of women in a Los Angeles-area department store restroom.

Damn, again!

Man Dressed as Woman Arrested for Spying Into Mall Bathroom Stall, Police Say

A man dressed as a woman was arrested in Virginia on Monday after police say he was caught peeping into restroom stalls three times in the past year.

Richard Rodriguez, 30, filmed a woman in a bathroom stall at the Potomac Mills Mall, Prince William County Police said on Tuesday. A 35-year-old woman was in the stall when she saw a bag moved toward her under the stall divider. Rodriguez apparently had been filming her, police said.

The victim rushed out of the stall to confront the man and saw him hurry to another stall, next to another woman. The victim alerted the woman and then contacted mall security of the shopping center on 2700 block of Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Man Strips In Women’s Restroom, Says New Transgender Rules Make It Totally Legal

Just a few weeks after Washington implemented new regulations allowing people to choose their restroom based on their selected “gender identity,” the state has encountered its first case of a man using the law to justify his use of a women’s restroom.

According to Seattle television station KREM, Seattle Parks and Recreation is trying to figure out what to do after a man walked into the women’s locker room at a public pool Feb. 8 and began undressing.

Several women were appalled and summoned staff, who told the man he had to leave. But the man said the law was on his side.

“The law has changed and I have a right to be here,” the man said, according to eyewitnesses.

The man apparently gave no indication, physical, verbal, or otherwise that he identifies or lives as a woman. Eventually he left, only to return later when young girls were changing their clothes for swim practice.

The police were never called and the unknown man was never arrested.

Sexual predator jailed after claiming to be ‘transgender’ to assault women in shelter

TORONTO, March 4, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A biological man claiming to be ‘transgender’ so as to gain access to and prey on women at two Toronto shelters was jailed “indefinitely” last week after being declared by a judge a “dangerous offender.”

Pro-family leaders are pointing out that this is exactly the type of incident they warned of as the Ontario government passed its “gender identity” bill, dubbed the “bathroom bill,” in 2012.

Christopher Hambrook, 37, leaned on the ever expanding legal “rights” offered to people who “identify” with the sex opposite their biology. Under the name “Jessica,” he was able to get into the women’s shelters, where he sexually assaulted several women in 2012, the Toronto Sun reports.

Court heard how one woman awoke to find Hambrook assaulting her on her bed. “Her tights had been pulled down past her bottom and her bathing suit had been pulled to the side,” court documents reveal. “She yelled at the accused, demanding to know what he was doing. He simply covered his face with his hands, said ‘Oops!’ and started giggling.”

Court also heard evidence of Hambrook terrorizing a deaf woman living in the shelter. “The accused grabbed the complainant’s hand and forcibly placed it on his crotch area while his penis was erect,” court heard.

The same deaf women reported that Hambrook would peer at her through a gap between the door and its frame while she showered.

Justice John McMahon imposed the “indefinite” prison sentence due to Hambrook’s long history of committing sex crimes.

Hambrook was a former stripper and escort from Quebec before moving to Toronto in 2009 and posing as a woman. While in Montreal he served four years in jail for a 2002 sexual assault of a five-year-old girl who was a family friend and for raping a mentally challenged 27-year-old woman while on bail for the first crime, reports the Toronto Sun.

The prosecution successfully convinced the judge that Hambrook’s out-of-control sexual urges put the public at great risk and that an indefinite jail sentence was the only way to protect the public.

“I am satisfied there is no reasonable expectation that a lesser measure would adequately protect the public from Christopher Hambrook,” said Judge McMahon.

Ontario amended its Human Rights Code to make “gender identity” and “gender expression” prohibited grounds for discrimination in 2012. The bill’s sponsors said at the time that the so-called “Toby's Law” would open the door to “social change” in Canada.

My favorite from the article:

http://www.dailywire.com/news/330/university-toronto-dumps-transgender-bathrooms-pardes-seleh

University of Toronto Dumps Transgender Bathrooms After Peeping Incidents
The administration at the University of Toronto was recently enlightened on why two separate washrooms are generally established for men and women sharing co-ed residencies.

The University is temporarily changing its policy on gender-neutral bathrooms after two separate incidents of "voyeurism" were reported on campus September 15 and 19. Male students within the University’s Whitney Hall student residence were caught holding their cellphones over female students’ shower stalls and filming them as they showered.

The best part of this article? They tried the transgender approach. They found it INCREASED these types of incidents. And had to ban the practice.

Yeah. We are crazy because we can predict the future. It really isn't that hard to do though in this instance.

Why not argue that any freedom that exacerbates a problem be taken away from people?

Bars, liquor stores and beer distributors exacerbate drunk driving. The right to bear arms exacerbates murder and armed robbery.

For every one of those peeping articles, you could find 1,000 articles where someone used a gun to commit a crime, or killed someone drunk driving. Much bigger problems than peeping that are the result of people abusing their freedom.

Troglodyte would you please stop making sense by posting reasonable, valid points on here? If you don't quit soon, we won't be able to jump to conclusions, make wild leaps of faith, overgeneralize and continue to see the world through the narrow prism of ultra-conservatism. And that would really diminish the standards we've set here on the political board. So stop, I beg you.

There are an estimated 700,000 transgender individuals in the US. That's less than 0.3% of the population. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, it's time to panic people, the transgenders are coming for your kids!!!! Aaaaaaaarrrgghhhh!

I think you are greatly underestimating the number of people who support Targets policy (not only the LGTB crowd, but sympathizers) and people like me who just don't really care, while at the same time overestimating the people who are freaking out over it.

And a persons rights don't stop merely because of the potential for abuse or unintended consequences, which is what you are arguing.

Think what you want. Say what you want. A 10% stock loss is a plummet in that amount of time. I think you're greatly overestimating the policies supporters.

Do I have the right to educate my children on matters of human sexuality? At a time I deem appropriate? And until that time do I have the right to ensure they don't encounter others' pee pees and wee wees? Or attempt to explain to a 3 year old the man in the women's shower room? What about those rights? And in case you hadn't noticed, people's rights most definitely DO stop because of the "potential for abuse" or "unintended consequences." Government limits the abuses of rights all the time and always has. In fact they've gone far, far overboard on that but that's another thread.

What about 13 year-old boys going to the mall and using the restroom. Why are you only concerned about heterosexual assaults?

Did you shower together? Use the same bathroom?

This is simply an idealistic distraction. As far as I can tell crossdressers, androgenous and other TG type people have been using the opposite sex's bathrooms for ages without anyone really noticing, and there are plenty of places with unisex bathrooms. Just a simple way to get the public lined up into their typical political lines while something else slips by entirely.

Or is it something they hoped might just slip by since they're doing so much more outrageous **** but underestimated people's attentive capacity?

For every one of those peeping articles, you could find 1,000 articles where someone used a gun to commit a crime, or killed someone drunk driving. Much bigger problems than peeping that are the result of people abusing their freedom.

I'm sure you could given the newness of this mess compared to the fact that guns and alcohol have been around forever.

Just like I thought - PC idiots will believe anything

Princeton Prof: Transgenderism Not Scientific, ‘Superstitious Belief’

A noted Princeton University professor has attacked the very notion of transgenderism, saying that the belief “that a woman can be trapped inside a man’s body” is ludicrous and superstitious, with no basis in medical fact.

Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton, sent out a tweet late Sunday evening questioning the science behind the transgender movement, in reaction to the Obama administration’s threatening letter to educators mandating accommodation of gender-confused teenagers.

Again, what a stupid premise. It begins with the ridiculous intro - "Why not argue that any 'freedom'..."

This is a freedom to you? Do the 150-170Million American women that have to now shower, openly nude in front of a man, agree with you that this is a FREEDOM? What about their rights to privacy? Convenient how you overlook their rights/freedoms in favor of a scant 700,000 transgenders. What you are saying is transgender rights are more important to you than womens rights. Got it Trog. Let me ask you...

What about my wife's right to privacy? Try walking up to my home and leering in the windows. You can and should be arrested for being a peeping tom. That is a right she has - the right to privacy. She has a right to use the restroom at target without being filmed. Peeping Tom laws are in every state, with slight variances.

What is going on, and even you don't realize you're arguing for it, is the rights to privacy are being stripped away by catering to the 'needs and wants' of the ultra-scant transgender population. 150-170Million women can't shower privately in public any longer. Their right to privacy is gone. And you're arguing for it.

Any person, Liberal or Conservative, who argues for these rights for transgenders is simultaneously supporting stripping away the rights to privacy, and secondarily unknowingly (or knowingly) part of the war on women. There's no in-between and either-or in this situation. It's really that very simple. A person cannot believe a woman has a right to privacy while likewise arguing a transgender person has a right to openly shower with women.

So you too, as a woman OFTB, support eliminating women's rights to privacy? You believe we should do away with Peeping Tom laws in every state? In general the rights to privacy are silly or just not worth protecting?

Do the 150-170Million American women that have to now shower, openly nude in front of a man..

This sentence proves what is otherwise obvious, that you are either slowly losing - or have already lost - your mind. For this to be true, there would have to be 150-170 million transgendered men - just casually hanging around the showers - ready to step in to watch the 150-170 million women shower nude. You do realize how absurd you are, I hope?

Tibs, stay on track. You know the Liberal line - "If it saves just one child...."

You do realize how absurd your argument is? It's in fact laugh out loud. 320Million American are protected by drunk driving laws. This doesn't assume that there are 320Million drunks that could kill 320Million Americans. Doh.

320Million Americans have the right not to be robbed. It's against the law. The law wasn't enacted because there's a belief that there are 320Million criminals out there to harm 320Million Americans.

Tell me you're not this dense in real life? That this is an act?
