I drive 12 miles of back country cow path roads before I hit the main highway to work. There is exactly one intersection with a 4-way stop and they just built a brand new Dollar Store there.

This is like the sales guy blaming his customer for being tge same bad business partner they have always been:

Trump said that he made a "fast deal" in mid-May with Chinese officials for both countries to back away from triple-digit tariffs for 90 days. He said he did this to save China from a "devastating" situation, factory closings and civil unrest caused by his tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports.
**** China. They've been screwing us for 40 years on trade, copyright infringement, espionage, and loosed Covid on the world. Let them have some "unrest".

“We will make the investments to transform U.S. Steel on the world stage,” Takahiro Mori, vice chairman of Nippon Steel, said during the rally. “Let’s get together, stronger, to be the best steel company in America, and the world.”

Who owns Nippon Steel?

I just finished watching a replay of that rally at U.S. Steel. That was at Mon Valley Works Irvin plant in Dravosburg, PA. That’s where I cut my teeth, the first big steel mill account that I landed, back in 1994. I used to tailgate at TRS for Steeler games with two of the guys who spoke on stage with Trump, Don German and Scott Buckiso. Great memories…

Trump is raising tariffs on foreign steel from 25% to 50%. Love it! When steel production goes up more of our chemicals are consumed. Instant increase in revenue.
