Tariffs

The tariffs are stupid, glad he listened to reason and backtracked on them. He’s childish and narcissistic. Yeah I would like a president who doesn’t act like a middle school girl. I would like an HHS secretary who isn’t a rabid anti-vaxxer (despite how much he’s trying to backpedal on that now that measles are spreading and killing people).

I’m not fixated on anything. I have varying opinions on a lot of different topics. I don’t and never have blindly adhere to one political side or the other or one person.

Some of you are fixated on defending him no matter what. I find that bizarre. Just as bizarre as I found it when Obama’s worshippers did it.

You sounding like a snarky liberal is what I think most have an issue with. You parrot their rhetoric.

If you like all the stuff he’s doing, then the way he sounds, acts, or because you don’t like his personality should be inconsequential. After over 8 yrs of this guy being in the public eye, his personality doesn’t need to be brought to anyone’s attention.

Stick with debating his policies.. approve or criticize, no one has a problem with that, but try to keep those female emotions in check.

Thanks for the mansplain. Not sure why you seem to think that I am seeking advice on how to win your approval. I’ll continue to talk about whatever my widdle female emotions feel like talking about. If you don’t like it you can scroll on by. This conversation was about tariffs and their effect on the economy. I didn’t bring up his personality til some of you did.

It’s the Trump cultists here who can’t debate issues and immediately start calling people haters with TDS if anyone dares disagree with anything he says or does. Even when his plans immediately backfire and he has to backtrack on them to avoid disaster. You all weirdly act like it was all part of some brilliant plan. It’s amusing sometimes but more often just boring and not very intellectually stimulating discussion which is why I’m not around here much anymore. Maybe y’all need to keep your emotions in check. Mine are just fine.

Edit:there are some people here capable of having intelligent discussions without just acting all butthurt like someone personally insulted them if they criticize dear leader. They know who they are.

Eliminate "Trump cultists" and I would agree with this. Name calling and labeling serves no purpose, and of course, that goes both ways.

“Chinese producers will be absorbing the costs of these tariffs” - how is that being taken out of context? Trump specifically asked Walmart to absorb the costs of the tariffs.

What you call “backtracking” I call a methodology. You seem to feel, like so many others, that adjusting course is a bad thing. This shows ME that he is actually staying involved with an issue and not a “do something and ignore it person that moves on”. Sure every action is going to have a reaction. Sometimes you can do things just to see what the reaction is going to be, and then ADJUST to any unexpected reaction. You see that as a mistake because you were not in agreement with it in the first place, I don’t happen to see it that way, and obviously he didn’t either.

All this tariff whining from all these people just means that they are finally paying attention. Whether you are for or against, my guess is that MILLIONS now know at least a slight bit more about the issue. I think this is way more important to his agenda then people realize. People are finally starting to pay attention to what has been done for decades, and they are pissed. Democrats can’t let this continue, and they know it, that is why they have their bought and paid for media attacking it 24/7.

My hope is that he is planning to use 100% of the tariff funds to pay down the National Debt. At least this way the pain will have at least been for a real benefit to taxpayers.

well, since you are directing your ire at the current Press Secretary, where was your ire after we were flat out told repeatedly that Biden was fit as a fiddle, young interns couldnt keep up and his mind was sharp?
