The Coronavirus thread

Took a page out Spike’s ****** up playbook.

Wait till I tell you about my home ventilator/sinus cleaner kit attachments for your turbo boost bagless vacuums, a little spritz of bleach and your lungs will never feel cleaner

It's not a ploy, it's not a hoax, it's not a conspiracy. It's a viral illness that until it runs its course will make a lot of people sick, some mildly sick, some severely sick, and will cause some people to die. That is sad.

But it is not much different from influenza.

Next October I expect everyone to be freaking out, staying home and cancelling school because millions are going to get influenza and tens of thousands are going to die from it. The vast majority of Americans will rush to get the influenza vaccine because who would not protect themselves and their loved ones against such a deadly illness.

But since that hasn't happened ever, I'm guessing I'll probably be disappointed.

It’s just overreaction, bro..

LOL

U aint seen NOTHING yet!

Trump also said that he would rate the US response as a '10'.

I LOL’d. I expected nothing less.

Trump:"No one knew, no one told me; no one predicted it could happen..."

Trump urges Americans to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people

Trump: We could be headed for a recession

When asked how long this would go on, Trump said “July or August” or maybe longer

I laughed all the way through, imagining the look on the Flu Bro's faces, lol

Gov. Wolf announced over the weekend that all Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores and licensee service centers in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties would be closed after Monday.

All remaining Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores and licensee service centers across Pennsylvania will be closed on Tuesday at 9 p.m. and will remain closed until further notice.

Adult day cares and similar programs that take place during the day must also close.

Grocery stores and other necessary stores can stay open.

PennDOT also announced they would close all Driver License Centers and Photo License Centers in Pennsylvania for two weeks starting on Monday. Expiration dates for driver licenses, ID cards, vehicle registrations and safety and emission inspections will be extended.

All PennDOT District and County maintenance offices are closed while all rest areas and welcome centers statewide will be closed to the public starting at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Like I said.....

There are two converging lines, one is people's trust they put in their Gov't to protect them. The second is the public's desire to get back to normal and **** the Gov't.
I predict the intersections occurs at 4-6 weeks.

In the meantime, I have enough ammo to wage a small gang battle.

I'll soon be sawing off the end of one of my shotguns. I fear.

Its a Sign

The Rapture restaurant in Charlottesville is voluntarily closing its doors, they hope to reopen sometime in the future

So I tried to go out and do my "normal" grocery shopping tonight. Lol not happening. All the major stores are wiped out. No bread, milk, toilet paper, paper towels, canned goods, syrup for pancakes, pizza mix, flour, ALL meat, and plenty more completely empty.
I've never seen anything like it. ******* crazy.
Ended up finding some canned goods at the dollar General.
I'm still sticking with this is completely over blown. When this is all said and done, the death toll will be less than the seasonal flu.
Looking at the numbers, it's fading fast in China and South Korea. It looks to me like once the new infections start exploding, it's a matter of 2 to 3 weeks before it starts to dissipate.
Most countries are still in the first week of the explosion of new cases.
To many idiots spreading bullshit online like pictures of military vehicles rolling in, only to find out those pictures are years old. ******** out there doing everything they can to spread fear.
I saw at least 10 people in Kroger wearing masks. Just nuts imo.

That's how it was here about 3 days ago. It's somewhat back to normal except for toilet paper, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer. Best to go in the morning because stores are restocking overnight.

Your community is going to be hard hit by this hysteria. Donate to your local food banks. Not food, they don't have the personnel to be sorting through all that ****. Donate money.

Order takeout, buy some sixpacks and buy giftcards from your local restaurants and stores.

Offer to run errands for the elderly, and get your kids who are of age to do the same.

Help if you are able.

If not, at least try not to panic and try to look on the bright side. Remember a time when you said to yourself "Goddamit, when will things ever slow down?" This is it. Savor it. Enjoy it while you can.

Hang in there SN.

Nope, no panic, nothing happening here, all stores are stocked with everything, gas prices dropped 30 cents in 2 days, corned beef and cabbage lunch at the Moose tomorrow, come on down. The bartender girls are using more bleach on their bar rags, I checked, just to be sure.

Waiting for my free food deliveries to my home! Where is the govt?

Two Emergency Room Doctors Are in Critical Condition With Coronavirus

The hospitalizations sharpen fears that the nation’s front-line medical workers could be uniquely vulnerable

SEATTLE — Two emergency medicine doctors, in New Jersey and Washington State, are in critical condition as a result of coronavirus, reinforcing concerns that the nation’s front-line medical workers are becoming especially vulnerable to the virus, the American College of Emergency Physicians said.

“A lot of us think that despite everything we do, we will probably be exposed,” said Dr. William Jaquis, the chair of the group. Still, he said, “The first reported case certainly sends a shock wave through the community.”

It is crazy. You should see Southern California grocery stores, it looks like something out of the apocalypse. They're unabashed, hoarding ****** with absolutely no regard for another human life. It's sickens me more and more every waking moment that I live here. It desensitizes you some when other people don't say hello or ask how you're doing normally, but this is like that x100. I understand that some people feel like they're on their own when they're living paycheck to paycheck, but have some regard for your fellow human being.

If I didn't have two mortgages here to pay, I'd be out of here so quick, you wouldn't even see my dust trails. I banked on San Diego being a good place to live long-term in Commiefornia because of it's exceptional weather and laid-back, spread out big city vibe -- but I made a mistake, and now I'm paying for it. So be it. Make your bed, lay in it I guess.

Way ahead of you. Already took homemade chicken soup to my elderly neighbors.
I told my wife we should buy more meat She said, let's order takeout. I agree. Support out local businesses that are hurting.

Readjust when this is over. Find other digs.

my daughters daycare just closed.....they are trying to get a waiver to stay open

Oh good lord Spike. He was talking about drive through testing vs. having elderly people flooding emergency rooms, which are hotbeds of germs, to get tested. He certainly wasn't talking about treating people in parking lots.
