The Coronavirus thread

5%!

What happened to .04%, Tim???

Flogged with another failed gotya attempt. It's almost pathetic to watch anymore TBH.

Everyone...literally EVERYONE knows rates and data are all over the map. The way THESE figures are calculated is wrong, but one must assume that the incorrect methodology was uniformly applied to all countries...riiighhhhht? So no matter what method was used, the relative scale remains the same....

The point - as you well know - is to show countries with lower rates all promote, support and distribute HCQ, per the chart.

IF true...that's a pretty powerful statement on our FDA and country. Many are suggesting it be used in a preventative format. Like those countries did. But because politics, we won't....

By all means though, Karry on Komrade with pushing fear and shutting the country down and watching 40 million lose their homes and more and more students shooting and hanging themselves. Instead of being willing to...oh I don't know...try something like HCQ or some other solution to actually solve the ******* problem??

The reason the case fatality statistic is useless, is because many of the cases are still active. Out of the US's 4.9 million recorded cases, 2.2 million are still sick and some of those will unfortunately die.
The actual case mortality rate can only be known when this is all over and there are no longer any active cases. Even then the case count will be widely inaccurate and the stat still useless.

Our idiot governor, Roy Cooper, decided we needed to punished in NC further for not doing good enough with the Rona. I mean, they said we were doing better, but not where they think we should be. Can't....roll.......my....eyes.....enough. So, we get to stay in phase 2 for 5 more weeks. Well, actually phase 1.5 as phase 2 was supposed to include bars and gyms, but Cooper changed his mind on that one at the last minute. We have been at this phase since Memorial Day and dumb *** keeps moving the goal posts.

Oh, but breweries, restaurants and wineries can be open. When he was asked why breweries could be open, but not bars he said some dumb **** about how they brew their beer there and bars have it distributed to them. WTF?!? He's such a ******* idiot and I can't wait for November to get him the **** out.

Well, it's simple, really. The geniuses making the rules know that if you go to a bar and have a drink, you will get Kung Flu. If you go to a restaurant for a drink BUT have some food with it, then you won't get the flu. Just like massive crowds can protest/riot safely, but crowds cannot go to church, schools or sporting events. Because the 'rona discriminates...

I've mentioned this before, that us essential workers who have never stopped working during this farce should have a much higher infection and death rate than everyone else. Along the same line, I saw a rant from a truck driver who said that truck drivers have been doing laps all over the country this whole time. If it's so deadly, why aren't all the truck drivers dead?

Sheep are getting played....

According to the state of NC, drinking after 11pm puts you at risk for the Rona, but not before 11pm. That is the mandate they started a couple of weeks ago, no alcohol sales in restaurants, etc. after 11pm.........exception: grocery stores and convenience stores.

******* retarded.

The Obama administration provided a $3.7 million grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Anyone still think that Obama is not a terrorist?

What if I have a piece of John Lewis' corpse, which apparently destroys the Rona?

You left off a stat H1N1 estimated US deaths 12,469, Covid 19 160,000 plus and counting. Notice any difference.

Yesterday you could see how out to lunch Trump is on the virus. He praised Arizona governor Ducey for his states response to the virus and Arizona leads the nation
in positivity rate. They could be the worst state in responding to the virus.

Here things got rolled back as well. If you are a bar that doesn’t serve food, you have to close. If you’re a restaurant that does t serve alcohol, it’s carry out or curbside. But if you are a bar that serves food, you can stay open until your kitchen closes. If you are a restaurant that serves alcohol, you close at 10.
Yeah....I don’t know either...lol

Yeah, it blows.......but we never rolled back, we didn't even get started. Bars haven't been allowed to open since the beginning of the shutdowns, gyms haven't been able to either. Both were supposed to open at phase 2 back right before Memorial Day, and stupid Cooper decided that those businesses needed to remain closed. We have stayed in this same phase since then, and now until early September. At least where you are at they got to open some...........there are many businesses shutting down completely now due to this and the state does nothing.

Oh, and almost forgot.........Cooper said something along the lines of how our economy is getting stronger because of this. I mean, what in the holy ****.

Really? Why don't you tell Zona and me what measures Arizona put in place and when? Oh, you have no idea and probably have never been to our state. Let me help:

  • Schools closed March, 2020.
  • Bars, restaurants closed March, 2020
  • Hair salons closed.
  • Large gatherings, sporting events canceled.
  • Lockdown eased temporarily May 15, but re-instituted.
  • Protests in Maricopa County (Phoenix) beginning May 28.
  • Surge in positive cases begins June 19.
  • 14-day incubancy, spread? Okay ...

So ******* admit it, just one goddamn liberal admit it, the increase in positive tests - not deaths, not hospitalizations because the morons burning **** are generally young - was a direct goddamn result of the idiots rioting.

Huh, look at that. Almost as if something happened late May, early June. Not the "re-opening" as those were weeks before then. Must have been something else. Wonder what that could be ...

Also, you nitwit, claiming Arizona has such "horrible" results ... my God, you are award-winning stupid. You and Flog should open some type of "Stoopid Akadamee," giving lessons on your remarkable idiocy. Stupidity of that level is not born, it must be developed. Specifically:

Deaths from Chinese flu:

Arizona: 4002, including 4 yesterday (https://azdhs.gov/preparedness/epid...se-epidemiology/covid-19/dashboards/index.php)
New York: 23,563, including 2 on August 1, 2020; stats not updated beyond then. (https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-data.page)
New Jersey: 15,923, including 7 yesterday). (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/new-jersey/)

Arizona's idiot-protest related "surge" and current data:

Huh, look at that. A sharp downturn now that the idiots doing stupid ****, ehh, protests are winding down.

So go ahead, 21, lecture us on how bad Arizona is handling Covid, how great New York is, how riots and looting had no effect, and how you can sell a piece of John Lewis' rotting remains as a Covid shield.

I don't agree with the endless shutdowns as they are bullshit, but the problem with this meme is the opening line of 1 bad month can shutter a business. My husband is a business owner and you can have a bad month at any time........or even multiple bad months. If one bad month shuts your business down forever, you were doing something wrong.

Couple thoughts:

It seems like someone is picking winners.

When you are in a poker game, and do not know who the mark is, its you.

Absolutely that is what is happening. There is no reasoning behind these arbitrary shutdowns. Even when they tried to get bars open by using outdoor seating only it was denied by the Governor. I mean, it apparently doesn't spread in breweries and wineries. It doesn't spread in big box stores either. All cases coming on now are being blamed on the little bit that got reopened around here, and not the protests. It's a complete **** show.

Most places have been shuttered to some degree since March it’s August now so the wording is bad I agree. Maybe it should say 1 more month could be the final straw, I don’t really know.

That I would agree with. I feel for these business owners as this isn't just a bad month, this is a forced shutdown by the government. There was a bar owner on the news last night that said, after hearing Cooper's 5 weeks longer mandate, he was done. He had received a PPP, but that is gone, and NC hasn't offered anything else to help these businesses. The guy said he couldn't do another loan as he knows he won't be able to pay any of the PPP back, and they are living off of credit cards right now. Sad.

We never got to phase 3. We went to phase 2 (restaurants, bars, gyms, and salons open), then rolled back. Salons and gyms are still open (masks worn of course), but it’s the food service rolling back that makes no sense. We still have no ******* idea what school is gonna be like when the kids start after Labor Day. I went back to college, (online), and one of my education classes has a project of observing 3 different classrooms and watching how the teachers interact with the students. It’s due 9-1. Kinda hard to have an observation when no districts are open with kids.

There was a dive shop by my office for the last 20 years. http://www.indymph.com/IndyMPH.htm It was a one man show and the owner was a great guy. He lasted through 4 months of this and closed his doors on Monday. Some businesses aren't as profitable as others, but it doesn't mean they're doing anything wrong. There are companies like his that probably couldn't last much more than a month of this ****.

Ehh, just YouTube "Joe Biden" and you will see at least a dozen "interactions" with kids.
