The Coronavirus thread

Everything is a superspreader event and I don't really care at this point. My callow honesty. Treatments, many Trump was excoriated for, have improved the response to this already not very deadly virus to the point it is no more harmful than the flu. It is just a fact of life and all the fear mongering in the world will not change it. Vaccinated or not you are still VERY unlikely to die or even have a severe reaction to it. It is here to stay and we need to just ******* move on with our lives. I know a ton of vaccinated people getting the virus and it is no big deal. Hospitalizations are u because they know how to treat it to become no big deal, not necessarily because it is causing more issues.

Cuomo on CNN last night admitted it is the only issue Biden has a prayer of winning on and it has to stick around for political reasons. Yes I watch more than just Fox or Newsmax. Know your enemy.
You might want to move then because most Governors aren’t going to leave their health systems scrambling to handle surges in hospital admissions.

Kind of out on a limb with this one this morning, aren't you? So folks shouldn't use a veterinary formulation of ivermectin? Shocking!

How about the one actually with FDA approval for treatment in humans, even if it's prescribed with an off label use? It's done all the time with many drugs.

This article reminds me of those dumb enough to take chloroquine phosphate, used as a fish tank cleaner, thinking it would offer protection. Darwin's view of
natural selection comes to mind.

Their health systems are going to be scrambling anyway thanks to vaccine mandates further straining an already short staffed system. If you think it's bad now, it's probably going to get much, much worse.

You fail repeatedly to acknowledge that one of the main reasons hospitalizations are up is simply as a preventative measure and that much of the reporting about occupancy rates of Hospitals is false or misleading. This **** isn't going away. You have choices you can make to potentially mitigate the slight risk there is with this. Those choices shouldn't be forced on anyone when those choices have not been deemed officially approved and they DON'T effectively slow the spread only lower your chance of serious complications from highly unlikely to even more highly unlikely except for certain individuals with particular issues. Science is on my side, political pandering is the only thing on your side. Why do you think Nurses and doctors are rebelling against these things? Wouldn't you think the people in the trenches would see it for themselves if it was really making a difference?

Again Cuomo last night inadvertently let the cat out of the bag, it is all about winning issues now not science.

I work for a large national funeral home corporation. For over a year we had to text our regional manager how many Covid cases we had every morning Mon-Fri and send a monthly report. As of July 1 we no longer had to do that because so few cases were being reported. At my place in Pittsburgh we haven't had a Covid case since March.

pretty sure if the consensus was to shove four leaf clovers up your *** while sniffing glue, you'd be stocked up on elmer's and a grow light.

The numbers that the MSM dutifully reports is the number of cases. What matters is the number of deaths which is way down.

Here is the state of COVID today.

Get diagnosed with COVID, medical professionals (ahem) tell you to go home, take vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and hydrate. If you experience shortness of breath, etc, call your doctor.

Does that sound like sound medical advice for a virus that is a god damned raging inferno that will kill us all dead???

Or maybe...it's just not that deadly.

Regardless, it's a shame that WHEN people are diagnosed with COVID, they are not prescribed therapeutics. They should be, because they have been proven to lessen symptoms and keep people out of hospitals.

I sought out Ivermectin and ZPack. Got it. Used both.

Some get hydroxychloroquine and ZPack.

Whatever works.

Seems odd that you would root for going home, taking vitamins and hydrating and be opposed to therapeutics. Why in fact is that?

Wait a minute.....that is not even as bad as the flu....

Giant Eagle has signs up saying everyone has to wear a mask again at least the one near my office in Allegheny County.
I know that GE has mandated all of their employees wear masks, and suggest that you wear a mask while shopping. I was in a GE yesterday, and about 1/3 were masked.

Uh huh. And what happens when an unvaccinated ICU nurse spreads Covid to the other staff?

Uh huh. And what happens when an unvaccinated ICU nurse spreads Covid to the other staff?
Same thing that would happen when a fully vaccinated person spreads it. At my place I'd say about 10% of vaccinated employees got Covid with some previously having Covid as well. It may prevent people from getting sicker and i an not anti-vax, but the whole vaxxed vs unvaxxed war is just political

The same thing that happens when a vaccinated one does. It is almost as likely. This virus isn't going away. You can't vaccinate it away anymore than you can the flu. It is a fact of life. YOu can choose to live in a basement in fear or get the **** on with your life and realize even if you are 70 and get it you are still 95% likely to live, or better when all cases are accounted for. Under that the risk is no different or maybe better than the flu.

Which would you rather have....

A). A fully staffed hospital, all of whom are wearing properly fitted masks, to address the inflow of patients?
B). A partially staffed, fully vaccinated hospital (whatever that means now with needing 3rd and 4th shots) that can't handle the in-bound work-load?

PS.....you're also saying masking doesn't work.

That’s all it is sadly. Politics

I’m just gonna go out on a limb and the government is probably hiding something from us they don’t want the public to know about. Why would they go to extreme measures like lockdowns etc?

Un huh. And what happens when that ICU nurse is forbidden to work and someone codes and dies?

Floggy and thought are adversaries.
