I expect the Republicans to add their majority lead in the Senate and lose their lead and majority in the House.
What does this really mean?
It means Republicans will control 3 of the major 4 areas. The Presidency, The Senate and the Supreme Court.
Losing the house, which in my opinion is the easiest power branch of the four to change is not a big deal. Trump could not get boarder security with a majority in the house that had a Republican majority. Some Dem’s will likely make deals for infrastructure in Red states, but outside of that I see little real value in the house, and Dem’s would be stupid to presume impeachment as that required a 2/3 senate vote. No bill the house send Trump will pass unless he wants it to pass.
Instead I expect Trump use executive orders much like Obama did to pass laws where the house won’t.
In 2020, Trump will be on the ballot again, so winning back the house can happen at a later date. Holding the senate is what matters most. And that's what the media will fail to mention.
