I know it isn't a position of need but he has OC ties, and Smith is known to like to use TEs...

PFF says he had some down years blocking but they are always iffy on accuracy...How's his blocking? He seems like he's had solid production over the years given his role.
I don't really want to know how were you used heheheThe big TE from Georgia was used as receiver slightly more than I was last year. Another offensive embarrassment last year. I don't think he gott a red zone target. If I'm HC I'm saying I don't really know how or what. But get him the ****** ball inside the 15.

He wouldn't be a pricey addition. They have a ton of money they can free up for free agency and some of it they should...slash, I’d pass, we have bigger needs.
Don’t get me wrong as I know we could use a tight end, but we have much bigger needs and little money to spend.
For some reason I think we are about 15 mil under the cap, but also have candidates to free up monly on.
We need FAs ILB / CB / OL (Center or Tackle) and we lost out on FA pun ter Aizer (sp), KC signed him.
Those three / four are going to take some $$$peso$$$ to fill, on top of the draft.
Cam’s rework will get one FA
TJ’s rework will get one + a punter (if FA signed)
15 mill will get a FA + rookie + reserve for in season FA if need
That’s just my speculation on money, a lot can happen before the draft.
Salute the nation
Q. What happens with Conner Heyward and Wahington? He wouldn't be a pricey addition. They have a ton of money they can free up for free agency and some of it they should...
His signing wouldn't impact a RT,C, and or QB coming in. They could cut Robinson and that would be more than enough...
Heyward is primarily a FB and Washington is primarily a blocking TE. They barely get any production out of their third WRs or 2nd TE. Plus to be honest Heyward is a fringe player who easily can be cut if need be.Q. What happens with Conner Heyward and Washington?
I've seen him alot...in the run blocking area..i agree. Add to that we havent seen near enough of Washington. Hardly used last year.
i agree butI've seen him alot...in the run blocking area..
He was very good to excellent at that.
You know...I have been a proponent of that for awhile now.Maybe Washington can play RT?
I think Heyward is better than most give him credit for. When given the chance he seems to come thorough. We just do not use him or any of our TEs near enough.Heyward is primarily a FB and Washington is primarily a blocking TE. They barely get any production out of their third WRs or 2nd TE. True but there is a new sheriff in town that is said to like to play his TEs. So we shall see.I think Heyward is better than most give him credit for. When given the chance he seems to come thorough. We just do not use him or any of our TEs near enough.
We often talk about being misused and wouod look good in B and G. I think Heyward us badly misused in thus offense and dhouod have 4 targets a game.Heyward is primarily a FB and Washington is primarily a blocking TE. yeah, but its not like Smith is the next coming of Mike MartzTrue but there is a new sheriff in town that is said to like to play his TEs. So we shall see.
