Much of the party establishment wrote off Gillum amid revelations eight months ago that Tallahassee City Hall was the focus of a public corruption investigation.

Gillum, 38, has not been implicated in any wrongdoing, but that does not mean he has been cleared. The FBI does not issue press releases declaring politicians innocent of wrongdoing they might be looking into, and public corruption investigations can plod along for years without an indictment or announcement.

Not only did Congressman Ron DeSantis easily win the Republican Primary, but his opponent in November is his biggest dream….a failed Socialist Mayor named Andrew Gillum who has allowed crime & many other problems to flourish in his city. This is not what Florida wants or needs!

Primary upset in Florida makes it official – It’s gonna be Trump vs the looney left in November

Tuesday’s primaries show there’s no doubt the Democratic Party is lurching to the left.

The governor’s race in the nation’s third-most populous state will probably represent the starkest ideological contrast in the country. Gillum is unapologetically liberal, calling for a $15 an hour minimum wage and repeal of the state’s “stand your ground” law, which allows residents to use force without retreating to defend themselves against threats.

Gillum’s GOP opponent will be U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, who swept the Republican primary with the endorsement of President Trump. DeSantis is also the favorite of free-market groups such as the Club for Growth.

Despite DeSantis’ maverick history, you can expect the national media to shower Gillum with favorable coverage. Much like African-American gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Gillum will be heralded as a symbol of a “New South” that is progressive and focused on diversity.

What's funny about the vote for Governor in Florida -
I saw a tweet touting the high voter turnout for the Democrat Primary -- 1.4 Million votes.
Naturally they don't mention that there were 1.6 Million votes in the Republican Primary.

They may be growing their voter numbers - but so is the other side.

Democrats Just Confirmed Lots Of Trump's Judges So They Could Skip Town

Senate Democrats just gave a huge gift to President Donald Trump: They agreed to expedite votes on 15 of his nominees to lifetime federal court seats because they wanted to go home.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) had lined up votes for all those district court nominees last week. Normally, Senate rules require up to 30 hours of waiting time for each nominee ― something Democrats typically take advantage of to delay action on confirming Trump judges.

But Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) cut a deal with McConnell on Tuesday to bypass the wait times and let them all get through.

Of the 15 nominees, six were confirmed by voice votes on Tuesday. Another one was confirmed on a recorded vote. The remaining eight will get quick votes next week.

It’s a major win for Trump and McConnell, whose No. 1 priority is filling up federal courts with conservative judges

I would contest that Liberal means a much different thing today than it did in the past. Wilson and Roosevelt were closer to today liberals in some ways than Kennedy or Glenn. In fact I would not have been surprised to have seen people like Kennedy or Glenn Join the Republicans today rather than see what their party has become or becoming. The radicals have taken over the dialogue if not the whole direction of the party Manchin aside the blue dogs are gone.

You are correct in that I hold some views that are more liberal or at least moderate. I would say that so does Trump despite your railing against him he has very moderate and unrepublican views. I am very fiscally conservative I am very pro defense I am socially moderate trending liberal as long as agendas are not being forced down my throat.
