Many of us knew about Tulsa
Great, glad you're on top of American history, for some reason you won't read too much about this in history textbooks. Figured at least you'd touch on the relevance of what happened that day, instead of rushing to chase after some dumbass, insignificant distraction. Quite the cop out, Tim.
In 1921, white mobs killed as many as 300 Black Americans in the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa and leveled the affluent, 35-block center for Black commerce and entrepreneurship. More than 1,000 homes and businesses, built from the ground up by the city’s segregated population, were looted and burned down.
Well, thanks to the almighty 2A, at least African Americans were able to show up in force yesterday and let their feelings be known. America, armed to the teeth in every conceivable nook & cranny. Heavily armed right-wing militants show up at State capitols to protest mask regulations, heavily armed black rights activists show up at rallies like these. The country is looking more and more like a military battlefield staging area.
