I find it interesting that Griner is still in a Russian jail for what, vape pens? While here in the US, somebody's grandparents are still locked up because they dared go to the Capital on January 6, 2021.

Had a Forrest Gump moment today.
My neighbor is running for office, had a fundraiser tonight, and asked me to come and say a few words.

Then I get the unenviable task of following U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly.
Gee thanks. I didn't know that big hitters were coming.
I started out by saying that I still remember Rep. Kelly's speech about the different colors of tape. He appreciated it.

Was it though? I mean considering that same Supreme Court just ended remain in Mexico. There are no wins anymore. Only levels of failure.

That's the thing. Even when the Swamp and Dims lose they just keep doing what they're doing because there is no one to enforce the law.
Who's going to make them stop? Other people in the DC Swamp?

There are no wins anymore, at least not for ordinary people. We are stuck between two extremes now.

Not really. Its not two extremes like the Steelers vs the Rats. Its more like you are forced to be part of the NFL.
Or, more like:
You are stuck in a casino, where the house has rules, and takes about 23% off the top.
That money gets redistributed to "run the casino" AND the casino also prints money for re-distribution.
The goal of the casino is to attract attention, with lights, bells, whistles, services, food, drinks, health tonics, events....lotsa fun entertaining stuff.....while the casino managers get wealthier and wealthier. Some people actually win, but the average is poorer by the amount the house takes, which is larger from the losers.
Other casinos also exist, and generally, they want to cooperate with your casino, because it turns out that it really doesn't matter which casino the people go to, because they have to choose to be in a casino.
No one really cares about how the casino is running, because the dramas inside the casino focus the attention of the people.....and when they get bored, well another drama unfolds......and if some folks start to really question management, well, they get sent to the quiet parts where the noise of the rest of the casino dims their conversation.

So you should ask yourself:
Are you management?
Are you a winner in the casino?
If not, what are you?
