THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED

There's an article in the Trib by Tim Benz this morning talking about how the Ravens were mocking the Steelers' game plan in the locker room after the game.

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post quotes and if not I'll take it down, but here is what the reporter said:

“I covered that game,” Heifetz said Wednesday. “I was in the Ravens’ locker room. The Ravens were making fun of the Steelers’ game plan. Straight up. The Ravens were making fun of the Steelers’ game plan. Not to reporters, but if you heard what they were saying, among themselves.”

This isn't the first time or first team we've heard of doing this. This team needs a reboot or a software update or something.

None of that is a surprize, in the least. Clown-lin has put together a sh-- gameplan, both on offense and D; it's indisputable.

Coupled with Edelman’s comments earlier in the offseason and how can anyone have hope this team can compete in the playoffs?

Other coaches, opposing players and former
Steelers upon departure ALL mock the ineptitude that is a Tomlin “gameplan”

But Art Nutting “is just glad he’s our coach”

Nothing to see here…rinse and repeat and just keep giving Art your $$$

No one who pays attention does believe this team can be competitive in the playoffs. Don't they average giving up 40+ points in Clown-lins last 4 playoff games? That is weak.

Last two were 28 and 31, but felt like Buff and Balt could have put up as many as they wanted. The problem with vanilla schemes and “beat your man” game plans, they just get blitzed early and never recover.

You could go back further, but during this current playoff winless streak:

2016 Pats AFCC - Down 10-0 after 1, 33-9 after 3
2017 Jags Div - Down 14-0 after 1, 28-7 late 2nd
2020 Cle WC - Down 28-0 after 1
2021 KC WC - Down 21-7 at half, 35-7 mid-3rd
2023 Buf WC - Down 14-0 after 1, 21-0 mid-2nd
2024 Balt WC - Down 21-0 at half

When two good teams play and only one schemes for the other, this is what happens.
 
Eh- The Lombardi has lost its luster.

I mean, since we last played in one Philly, KC, TB, have won it. I mean for crying out loud the LA Rams won one ! What’s next the Bungles and the Browns?

A Super Bowl Championship has been devalued with these weak sister franchise’s wins.

Enjoy your 9-7 Tomlinship, It’s all about the journey. That’s where it’s at.

So Cheers! Buy yourself another overpriced souvenir cup beverage, drink it up and soak in the mediocrity.

It's not just that, but Clown-in doesn't even bother to make adjustments after the game starts and it's obvious his game plan is sh--. He just ignores it and keeps plowing ahead, seemingly clueless about what is transpiring in front of him - totally lost on the reality happening right in front of his face. The Tebow Denver game comes to mind. What a pile of horse sh-- that game was.
 
Nothing will change with sports teams in Pittsburgh under this ownership group.
The Pirates are owned by a carpetbagger who has zero business owning any professional sports franchise. His model is simple…. Minimize operating expenses specifically player payroll and player development programs and maximize profit.
His goal is to enrich his family’s fortunes and not to spend as he should on the team in order to win.
Now to the Steelers…. Another simple one here.
The majority owner I believe truly wants to win championships but has become blinded and distracted by being politically correct in today’s world.
He wants to do the right thing by everyone and not be the bad guy where he should have cleaned house several seasons ago.
The franchise has gotten stale, the message is outdated, the trophy’s are collecting more and more dust as the seasons roll by. If ever there was a time for a hard reset.
Just look at how things are being run currently. When a Steeler fan feels embarrassed to be recognized as one, I’d say that says it all.
It’s not just one guys fault it’s starts with ownership and trickles down in a dysfunctional organization.
Unfortunately change does not seem like it’s on the horizon so as fans we just have to live with this Steeler illusion that they have created always trying to sell us they’re never rebuilding when in essence that’s whats really required.
The Penguins…. What can you really say. The ownership group is comprised of very wealthy men from Boston with zero connections to Pittsburgh.
The verdict for me is still out so it’s a wait and see for me.
They better show some urgency though, Crosby isn’t getting any younger.
This is truly the worst I’ve seen Pittsburgh sports in my entire life and that’s long time.

Yea, you've got to go back to pre-70's Steelers for an era worse than this, that is over 50 years. That's rough. We aren't gonna see any light or hope until Clown-lin is booted out of town. Well, we have our Tomlinships I suppose: barely post a winning season and then get mollywhopped in the playoffs, give up an average of 40+ points.
