Things Mike Tomlin can do to fix the Steelers next season ( besides resign 🤣 )

I do not think Tomlin will wake up. If something isn't working we just keep doing it anyways. Just look at our last 2 games. Against the Bengals we ran every single first down and all but once on 2nd down until we were desperate at the end of the game. We also left Trice on Chase for most of the game. Against the Ravens we kept tackling Henry without the ball and letting Lamar run down the field. We also always seen to have that one play every year that results in 0 yardage but we keep running out. Last year it was the jet sweep and this year it is the toss back to najee
Using 2 DL is just plain stupid. 1. we can't generate pass rush. 2. We get blown off the line. 3. Even with extra guys in the secondary the other team has guys wide open.
With Tomlin I don't see much changing defensively unfortunately so I have little hope for change there
One change that I think might make a difference is a new oline coach. I think Tomlin would keep his fingers off that one. Our backs and QBs would look much better with a decent line.
On offense i think the plays are there we just do not use them. I don't know if that is on Tomlin or Smith. With a better oline and playcalling I think the offense could be ok as is.
Special teams had a good year I wouldn't change much there. The short kickoffs were a mixed bag. We stopped guys inside the 20 but also got burnt a few times. I'm fine with being aggressive there but if they decide to just blast it through the end zone that is fine too

None of you sopping wet vaginas have much to offer in terms of substance while you flood this place with your tears. And that's really bad for the site

Everything is Tomlin fault according to you and that's what makes it obvious that you have some other hidden reason you're afraid to articulate when it comes to Coach Tomlin

Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the league. It isn't his fault the roster is middling and he doesn't have to be perfect

Also keep your DEI ***** in the politics forum where it belongs. Be a man and say what you really mean but don't try to sneak that ***** in here. You wreck this site, traffic goes down, and revenue suffers
my apologies for bruising your labia and saying what no one has the balls to say.
the man inherited an awesome defense, a HOF QB, a quartet of WRs with one borderline HOFer, an amazing RB and won precisely what exactly?

he got his *** kicked by used car salesman Blake Bortles. and Jesus Tebow.

remind me - what has either of them done in their NFL careers?

the DEI hire is due directly to the Rooney Rule. you know, the owners of the team. The very proof that Mike is untouchable is evident by his coaching tree. absolutely no branches on that tree. Underlined by his playoff performances.

Think Belichick would have won at least ONE super bowl with Ben? Tony Dungy would have.

slap a tampon on and face your fears.

I mean this whole post is just outrageous, but I'm just going to focus on this part right here. WHAT?!?!?! Tomlin has a HUGE say in who is signed/drafted. This is his roster, so if the roster is middling it is 100% his fault. Because the roster was middling with Colbert, and it continues to be with Kahn. Kahn is just more aggressive to go after the guys that they (Tomlin and Khan) want.

What exactly is the Head Coach responsible for in your eyes? Just to stand on the sideline and look pretty? Tomlin can't even do that anymore, he looks beaten down. Like he's aged 35 years in the last 5.

Tomlin is responsible for everything according to you guys. That's the only thing anyone needs to know about you.

Tomlin is GM
Tomlin is HC
Tomlin is LB
Tomlin is QB

Get real dude. I saw Minkah flapping his yap with Jackson a few weeks ago, telling him he wants Jackson to keep instead of handing off. How did that work out for him

I saw Queen talking about hats and tee shirts a few weeks ago. I saw Queen patting Henry on the shoulder as he ran 50 to the end zone

Pickens...do I need to say anything? You already know

I never see you chumps mentioning the player suckage. But man do you love crying about Tomlin and sneaking in some political BS.

Get fking real.

Apology accepted.

Here is the thing Times. One person sets the culture for all that. And it starts in May. I coach JV football and I can tell you me or a coach on the staff deals with that. You have to or you get what the Steelers have. A mess.

Then why the **** are you here if none of us offer any "substance"? The view must be incredible from your throne, you egotistical prick.

Here's another amazing stat that isn't made up, there's only been 3 times in our entire organizational history where we went 5 straight games without ever leading, the first two in the the late 30's, and the 3rd time, anyone want to guess???? Drum roll.....................................................this season, 2024 we went 5 games without ever leading.

When we have a 4th string CB covering a top WR in the league without help who is responsible for that. When we run every first down who is responsible for that. When we use 2 DL or tell our best players to tackle a guy without the ball who is responsible for that? When it's a win or go home game and you have 4th and 6" and punt whose call is that etc etc..... Of course players play a big role but if they are not being put in spots to succeed then it's hard to blame them. We took a ball hawking safety and basically made him a statue... The list just goes on and on and most of it can not be defended if your being 100% honest

Once you read 6 it's pretty damn hard to take anything else seriously. AB is either deeply mentally ill / brain injured or just a completely horrible human. Most likely both. Why don't they just hire Sean Combs to plan team morale gatherings?
I stopped reading at besides resign.

nah, son. the NFL wants to inject itself into the political/social spectrum with their "end racism" and "it takes all of us" and their very own "dei" stances. so, using their own barometer, they can be judged in doing so.

and you can feel free to take all that and stick it deep in your ***.

But the OP did offer substance. He actually talked about things that can be tried.

1) Get rid of the DC and OC and the WRs Coach and OL Coach.

2) GM and Tomlin have to nail it in the draft....the GM has to realize he has an obligation to fill holes mid-season that were not met through the draft (i.e. the WR position for 2024).

Still not sure what that has to do with Tomlin considering the number of firings of black head coaches and literally no black ownership and only a handful of black GMs, but anyway. People like you send me with that foolishness. If Tomlin was a coach with any other organization he would also be fired. Tomlin is still the Steelers coach, not because he's black or the Rooney Rule, but because he works for the Steeler organization. Chuck Knoll after the 79 Super Bowl had I believe maybe 4 playoff appearances after that year, but went 2-4 in playoff games and coached another 12 years during that time.
It's what the Steelers organization has been a majority of its existence...whether we like it or not. They believe in stability and loyalty over and above everything else. Is it to their detriment?? You could say that, but Stop trying to interject DEI into why Tomlin is still here when one has nothing to do with the other. You just look flat out stupid.

1. Tomlin is the DC. The OC if you havent followed do exactly the same thing since they dumped Haley. The OL coach ill agree.

2 It was established when they dumped Donahoe that the HC has draft say so. Its been evident by certain picks also. The hole made by cutting DJ, should have been filled immediately but i guess they couldnt find the upgrade they wanted. That guy from SF is still on his way, remmember?

they need a Casey Hampton type player. will Tomlin allow it?

First off, it's "Noll". Using Noll as a comparison is foolish. Noll won 4 freaking superbowls and built one of, if not the best, all-time team in the history of the NFL. He deserved the consideration of his own tenure like no other, however, even the fans were saying it was time during his last 2 years. Even he was not immune to fan pressure, and he then retired with, what I suspect, Rooney's pressure as well.

What do you mean using Noll as a comparison is foolish? Have the Steelers not been to SBs with Tomlin? Not to mention the non losing streak. You just made my point w/o realizing it. Yeah, he's worthy of the consideration. At least think before becoming a poser .

I still don't get why you're asking that question? Understood has to how it was phrased the first time.
Tomlin does not seem to like a true nose tackle. A Casey Hampton type player is a true nose tackle.
Would Tomlin be on board with drafting someone like that.
I really do not know how else to ask the question
