TJ Watt

Don't jerk yourself too hard Coach.

I picked the guy too, but I'm not going to spray the walls every time he does something good...

Hmmm. I thought initially Coach had Obi Melifonwu as his number 1. Sort of recall him betting TMC that he would get picked before Budda Baker. As usual, TMC ended up owning Coach as Baker was taken in the 2nd 20 players before.

Coach pimped so many players before the draft...I think he could have been a 100 percent on any mock draft result.

And I had Buddah Baker according to that thread. No way did I think Watt would slide. Super happy that he did. I know I mocked Watt.

Steeler Scotty was all over it though!!

Tmc liked Baker

Just saw this on FB quite interesting

Sophomore Year Comparisons:
Troy Polamalu (2004) 16 Games, 96 Tackles, 1 sack, 10 Pass Deflections, 5 INT’s, 1 Touchdown, 1 Forced Fumble

Sean Davis (2017) 16 Games, 92 tackles, 1 sack, 8 pass deflections, 3 INT’s, 1 forces fumble

**** if he can have half the career Polamalu had I would be happy.

If those are legit stats, it won’t matter. The board’s resident Jester won’t acknowledge it. He’s got to pimp his subscription for PFF instead.

Baker would still be better than Mitchell...

Golden is better than Mitchell. The guy made next to no plays the entire season.

Of course, stats alone do not even come remotely close to telling the story.

Polamalu was an All pro player in 2004.

Mitchell is awful but Golden is even worse by a good amount.

have to agree, don't know why Wilcox hasn't got a chance to show what he can do

Took the words right outta my mouth. Polamalu was probably, or at least should have been, a legit contender for DPOY in 2004. No matter what side of the fence you stand on in this debate, Davis was nowhere near as close to having the kind of impact in his second year the way that Polamalu did.

yeap, Davis has been ...serviceable, flashy moments mixed with crappy ones. If he becomes consistently good he could be a very good piece for the future because he has shown he can make splash plays, now he has to prove he can work on the mental mistakes and be an every down blue chip guy.

Wait, what? Now you're going too far in an attempt to make a point. Golden should never even see the field unless it's STs.

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. And yeah, what in the world are they doing (not doing) w/ Wilcox?

I agree, but I'm starting to lean toward wanting Gay as our FS moving forward. He can tackle, he can cover, and he's already taking deep halves in the dime when Davis comes down in the box.
