Tomlin had nothing to do with Arians Leaving

It confirms the Rooney's didn't want him back and Tomlin did. The Rooney's put their foot down. Arians was gone. Doesn't say anything about every other hire nor does it confirm anything except in this case

I would have loved the Rooney's to make a more hands on approach with the decision, seeing that it was theirs.

The Rooneys have quietly forced out many an older coach throughout the years... Its part of the business just like cutting an older player.... Its a young mans game.

Arians comes off pretty weak and petty throwing Tomlin under the bus like this.

Well when hired Tomlin had Lebeau and Arians. I doubt he had a choice. After Lebeau it was Bulter. Again I doubt he had a choice. After Arians it was Haley. It has been argued that he was a Rooney choice. Who did Tomlin hire then? Only position coaches? OK.

You were paid well while you were here. STFU

Remember that it was the Rooneys who fired Tony Dungy. Noll wasn't happy about it, and when 4 years later, the Rooneys told Noll to get rid of Joe Walton, Noll decided to call it a day. In hindsight, the Walton call was correct, but firing Dungy was probably a mistake. The Steelers lost 5 starters off of their defense before Dungy's last year, and the result was predictable. He was made a scapegoat for the team's struggles.

I have a completely different interpretation. Did you watch what Bruce's wife said about Tomlin? It sounds to me like she was blaming Tomlin 100%.

What the wife thinks probably has little to zero value in the grand scheme of things. Miko Grimes probably supports her though.

She blamed Tomlin, but from the rest of the story it sounded like it came from above.

I think the separation was good for both parties. Bruce has done well since he left and Haley is just what the Rooney's wanted. If I recall The Rooney's let Tomlin/Arians know they wanted Ben protected and the ball run more. That didn't happen. Bruce goes away. Ben is protected and we run the ball more. oh and our offense is amazing.

Tomlin again shows his stupidity by trying to get Arians a raise when he was a poor OC and the FO knew this and fired him. Tomlin was of course happy with the under performing status quo.

People seem to care about Arians more now that he's off the team. Couldn't wait to get him out the door just a few short years ago...

I was a happy mother ****** when I found out his contract was not renewed. No more 11 step drops with a porous OL and the WR running 200 yards down the field. **** yeah.

Dude Bruce move on!!!! Your career is better off since you left, how many times are you going to bitterly rehash this same crap. You got canned, you became a winning head coach. Quit dwelling on crap that has passed and contributed to your promotion, it just sounds like you're whining at this point. We get it bro.....

Look what Arian's did to Carson last year, turnover machine.

Ben was sacked last season how many times, 20 or so?
The current offense is amazing and much more balanced.
Arians is still counting on old man Palmer for the majority of the offense in AZ.
Sour grapes from a man that was close to being out of the game.

He is a better head coach that positional coach.

Glad he is gone, glad he still has success, glad we have a better OC, not so glad he can't seem to let it go. Move on Bruce, your job has, it is time your butthurt goes with it.

No kidding. Every play was a damn hail mary! Lol. Nice post

Arians offense got lots of yards and often came in second in scoring or generated lots of three and outs. The defense kept the steelers in a lot of games and was a key factor in winning one Superbowl for sure.

well Arians system he was running her was getting ben hit to much and he was not adjusting to more pistol and shotgun quick throws like he is now with carsuck. As far with lebeau he was just too stubbborn giving to many vets out of thier prime and out of the gas still playing high snap counts and doing little to work with yound defenders.
it long with for lebeau to put heyward in as we could see hood a natural 4-3 1 IT just sucked as a 5 T.
and he just refused to accept that ike taylor and troy were done when they were finished i.e 2012.
