His presser, they asked what he needs to do to adapt and change over whats happened over this playoff drought, he said I'm open to change, I have been open to change, it's not like we've been doing the same thing over there during that period. Yes you have, exactly the same thing, show up in the playoffs with zero energy, get down big, and lose by double digits.
Then asked why he can turn this around, he said because I know what works and what doesn't work. GTFOH, obviously he has no clue what and what doesn't work.
Then asked about what they need to do schematically to help Watt, he basically said I don't know if you have to do anything. Yeah just allow him to be doubled/ tripled every play because that worked so well down the stretch.

I can't stand listening to this guy anymore.

I'm done, done. Watching these Tomlin lead teams is a complete waste of my time and energy. Between riding my new bike, fly fishing, Hunting and kayak fishing I have more than enough to do to keep me entertained.

Yep fifty plus years of living and breathing with how this team played. now I just don't care near as much. from now on I will spend my Sunday afternoons out on my boat fishing with my grandsons or taking my grand daughters on dates to dinner and a movie during steeler games, until Tomlin is gone.

I am to the point I can't stand even seeing him on the side lines in black and gold.

I thought that was one of his strengths.
This guy is a complete fraud and always has been.
Brooke asked about teams reaching out about a trade. Tomlin says”they can save their breath”. This is so dysfunctional it’s ******* sad.

Ask yourself why a HC would want a no trade clause in their contract.
Could it be he’s afraid he could be traded to a bad team and has zero confidence in his ability to build up that team? He knows damn well how good he has it here and the only move this fraud will ever make is to the television booth.

He must have used and misused that word at minimum 100 times.......NOT an exaggeration.
Also, don't listen if you are in any semblance of a good mood.

Players, Position Coaches, Coordinators, QBs,GM all have been changed out repeatedly but it always points back to one man. Tomlin is the constant in this hodge podge of nothingness,
All you get from Tomlin is typical word salads. Lots of word that sound clever but mean nothing.
I simply cannot believe Art Rooney II is naive enough to buy into this nothingness.

Like I said in one of my posts earlier, he's the only man left standing. Even Dan died, so literally everyone is gone. Pisses me off so bad.

I tried to think this would maybe turn around, but Art II doesn't have what it takes. He's a lawyer and only sees $$$$ and probably loves the prestige of heading Steeler Nation and the all important +.500

Do I dare and even go listen to the nonsense presser? No, I don't think I will. I wanted to, but I'm afraid I'll get angry and it'll raise my BP so I won't. Dammit.

Rooney decided Tomlin was going to be the coach in 2025 before the 2024 season even started with the new extension last summer.

They could have gone 4-13 and it would not have mattered.

Rooney hitched the team to Tomlin through 2027, and nothing is going to prompt him to deviate from that because doing so would require him to admit he was wrong.

Tomlin knows it, which is why he can confidently go in front of the media and spout off a bunch nonsense while knowing any other coach with any other team would be canned for the performances his teams have turned in over the past decade.
 
Sound clever? Not at all. He tries to sound smart but he can't pull it off.
