He's just entitled beyond belief at this point and we saw that with him reacting the way he did when referred to as a player's coach as well as feeling insulted when someone asked him about the USC job. The guy should resign but his ego would never allow it.

And he has considered all components from a structural and environmental standpoint as he assesses the magnitude of what transpired.

Disagree here Korea. Mike Tomlin knows more about what does NOT work than basically any other football coach in the nation.
 
I recommend that Art Jr. quietly ask Mediocre Mike not to do press conferences any more and simply buy an AI to answer the questions. He would need only input the following key terms and have the AI mix-and-match them randomly for answers. The fact the answers are a non-sequitur is of no moment. The terms:

I'm not going to try to do a psychoanalysis of the guy. He certainly has a lot more self belief then anyone here has in him. But I'm pretty sure that comes with the territory. It's a long term contract with a big name FA quarterback that is meh. They are ******.

There have been 8 head coach "trades" in nfl history, but only a couple straight up trades

Some were teams trying to weasel a coach away, and being forced by the league to compensate them.. like Shula or Parcells or Holmgren.

Others were coaches that " retired" then tried to unretire elsewhere.. like Payton and Arians.

Bill McCheatypants signed with the Jets then instantly tried to back out and go to the Pats... and the Pats had to pay for him

The two straight up trades were Gruden and Herm Edwards...

Jets traded Edward's for a fourth. The Chucky trade was serious capital but I believe that was mutual. And I don't think either was against their will. And as Shades put it. Don't waste their time.
 
I heard Mike Tomlin got a job offer… California fire deportment!! They looked at his record and said he’s just what they’re looking for… what?? no previous experience?? none needed!!!

We are getting a new defensive coach and he is a far better speaker than Tomlin.

I just don’t know what everyone expects him to say. To admit he’s a failure, and that he shouldn’t have accepted the extension?
