Let's see. Tomlin assembles an offensive line. Line performs poorly. Tomlin yells at them. Now they won't suck. That is leadership.
You could also say... Tomlin assembles a poor offensive line. Tomlin then yells at them not to suck.

Cole doesn't concern me. I think Daniels will settle in. Chukes will be what we know. They should take the weakest rostered G and T and see if they can trade or final cut down some competition.
Well, it looks like they're gonna try goin with someone else...

Steelers sign offensive tackle Adrian Ealy
The Steelers bring in their third new offensive lineman in the past week.www.behindthesteelcurtain.com
I could block better than him.Kendrick Green is the highest drafted OlIne pick in the last 10 years for the Steelers. Let that sink in.
Anyone here could do as much as him. Which is less than a speed bump.I could block better than him.
I would say that Spillane and Robinson are both better options than Bush, while not great players…better options and more deserving of roster spotsI am with you and in theory that sounds good. I would love to send the two packing. But you can't deplete depth without bringing in something equal or greater than. I would like them to do exactly that. That is a problem Omarlin have to solve to improve the roster.
They need to send Bush and Green to the sideline for some 1 on 1 reps and the loser of the battle is instantly cut…if the coaches look away for a second those two clowns would break out a board and be playing a game of monopoly for the roster spot thoAnyone here could do as much as him. Which is less than a speed bump.
Another midget. Tomlin loves these outliers and wastes high draft picks on them, see Dri Archer and Bush trying to show people he is smarter than them. The phoney is nothing but a master bullshitter bI could block better than him.
Every year Tomlin brings in scrap heap offensive linemen to compete with his carefully assembled and coached offensive line. Iron sharpens iron.
Yes. I saw a similar thing about a month ago. Its definitely a concept that requires high technical attention and quick decision making… that first strike is super important and knowing when to fake it to get the dl to overcommit…I saw a YouTube vid from Alex Kozora and how Pat Meyers blocking goes. It’s a win first idea. Lots of attacking first. Mason Cole made mention that people need to get more aggressive and after listening to the design that’s exactly what needs to be done. It’s not an overwhelming complicated system. Gotta see foot placement and position of DL and that determines what you do. But the gist of it is you don’t back pedal as much but attack the LOS. It’s definitely new to everyone and you can see how uncomfortable they are. Not sure if the team is built to run this or not. Maybe see if there’s any offensive linemen available that has run this and bring them in. Maybe bring Andrew Whitworth in to help coach a little. Idk

I don’t think the average fan realizes how different this is.. its like the changes in 2008… drastic and some of our guys might not be capable
Wolf, I didn't realize that. As the OL aged Tomlin and Colbert obviously neglected the positions on the OL. The Bush trade actually had us losing three potential starters maybe even a couple OL. Our pick 20 and second round pick that year Bush was drafted and the following year a third round pick. Kendrick Green is not an NFL caliber starting OL. Not even sure he makes a decent backup. I think Cole, Daniels and Chucks can be OK but nothing special just OK. Dotson can't stay healthy and if he can again only OK. Dan Moore really worrying me at LT. Simply put, not beating these fast edge rushers. Doesn't seem to get out fast enough to pick up these speedsters.Kendrick Green is the highest drafted OlIne pick in the last 10 years for the Steelers. Let that sink in.
I don't disagree that Cole was the best of the group. Which isn't saying much. However, telling us to expect some bad games (throughout the season!) from the line, the offense, and the entire team doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. At least he's being honest, I guess.cole actually was good out there, he is just supporting his crappy colleagues
That really is hard to believe, but the results are plain to see. As the lineman with high pedigrees like DeCastro and Pouncey aged and deteriorated, the Steelers continued to prioritize drafting skill positions -- and now they are clearly paying the price. Green was a project pick to start with, then they really ****** him up by attempting to have him start at center as a rookie.Kendrick Green is the highest drafted OlIne pick in the last 10 years for the Steelers. WAS DUMB TAKING GREEN OVER MIENERZ WHO IS A TRUE C AND SHOWED IN WORKOUTS AND HE HAD A MEAN STREAK.
