Tomlin sucks thread 11/6/16

Just can't give the entire staff an F for today. The defense actually showed up for once and deserves some credit.

People hate Belichick, but could you imagine where this team would be with a head coach with that type of attention to detail from his players?

I would never want Bill due to his cheating, but there is many of coaches that could give the Steelers a fighting chance.

Which NFL head coaches (include coordinators and college coaches if you want) do you take over Tomlin? Genuinely curious for your (and others responses).

The problem with a team that doesn't call plays to stay a head of the chains is that when things go bad, they really go bad. The Ravens were just about as equally pathetic on offense today. The difference was that they were consistently in manageable situations.

These threads are funny. Mike Tomlin has as about as much chance of getting fired, as Jill Stein does of getting elected president.

I used to defend Tomlin, no more, count me in as him needed to be gone!

I would take the one Harbaugh brother.

But more important....I would look at what up and coming D coaches are hot and have shown the ability to make adjustments for the better.Or a O coach who has trended the same way

That would involve watching a lot of game tame, etc.

More important here

I wouldn't sit on my hands and watch the same ****** up results year in and year out expecting different results.

More important is what I wouldn't do than what I would do.

TOMLIN is the head coach he is control of the coaches, he is suppose to motivate the players, where does anyone see this. Tomlin had two weeks to get ready for the Ravens and that dreaded hostile environment, he did not get the players ready. You want to blame players OK , where is TOMLIN in their face or benching them, or anything but that beautiful pouting face he likes to show. By the way Tomlin helped draft these same players you want to blame.

It's a message board. These are the things fans will discuss.

And discuss in a heated fashion. On that note. Something needs to change. The team slowly turned it's attitude into an unmotivated, diva like atmosphere. The head coach will and should take the blame accordingly as the team reflects him. The offense has talent, but the half *****, fantasy **** needs to stop. The defense showed up. Heyward and Harrison gave that defense a much needed attitude boost. Shazier and Tuitt are buying in to the attitude. It seems the rest of the team just goes through the motions. So yes that attitude falls on Tomlin

Even if it say was a rut I would say ok let us see.

But every ******* year this clueless dipshit does the same stupid *** ****.

And this team trends badly with two many coaching flaws.

Let us review.

* doesn't change up approach to ****** teams /continuously loses yearly to a alarming amount of ****** teams
*is slow out of the gates in a game team looks flat unemotional and unprepared
*makes ****** or no half time adjustments
* doesn't like to bench players when needed and has no feel when to bench them

I really could go on and on and on

in Pittsburgh we are lucky we have a elite QB that can cover up many of these glaring head coach deficiencies

But more often than not moving forward it will be a predictable loss or a predictable short coming ending to a season...........

Glad to see people are seeing the light. Ben did play terrible today, but its up to Tomlin or other coaches to have him fix what was going on. On several plays their were WRs wide open and Ben choose someone else or to chuck it deep. Coaches need to point these things out. The blocked punt was a WTF moment and inexcusable. How do you not block or even attempt to block your guy. I am sure Sham was not coached to do that. Tomlin has little emotion and little sense of urgency. He just seems to let the players do whatever with no consequences. Where was Rodgers earlier in the game?

I'd like to remain optimistic. But Ben has been playing this style of ball for the longest time. If he ****** up, he had a badass defense to bail him out. I agree in that Tomlin and the other coaches should point out those weaknesses, but they don't. Like a lot of posters on here have stated. The Steelers play a continuing trend of disappointing football

Don't know...the players still need to execute the plays...Our our having issues in that department. Hence the real reason for this thread.

yeah it's the players that year after year after year after year lose to ****** teams

lulz a Tomlin apologist to the end.

What ever... I could care less about Tomlin...but I won't give the players a pass. Did Tomlin make multiple players miss tackles on the Wallace TD? Drop passes. Penalties?

whats the players records against ****** ******* teams year in and year out

or is that the ******* head coaches job to put them in position to win?

when is ******* Tomlin worthy of being let go in your eyes? When Ben retires and no longer can cover for the trends?

******* brilliant

Same record as Tomlin's I would guess. Usually it is the players that win and lose games. Tomlin's job is to put his players in position to make plays....What did Tomlin do today that hurt his team and made them lose?

left a injured QB in entirely too long, one that obviously struggled to the end
sat behind his shades quietly making no adjustments

there is two that was enough to lose this game

his decision making year in and year out screams arrogance and unwilling to change to the point he had coordinators run out of town, covering for his ****** *** coaching

I'll start.. How about stubbornly trying to run right up the gut when they were stuffing it all game long. Conservative, scared approach on offense all game long. Not calling quick, high percentage pass plays in the beginning of the game to help Ben get back into a rhythm after missing time.

hi

Yeah....I could see how you would of posted if he pulled Ben out of the game and put Landry in and he sucked it up. Because we all know how much love you have for Landry.

Ben actually played his best football of the game in the 4th....to bad a few other players didn't. Might have pulled this one out.

So Ben could not of called something called an audible. Hell the one commentator said as much for both Ben and Flacco.

Did Ben have a concussion? What exactly suggested he was injured today? His decision making was off, so unless he had a head injury, he was well enough to be out there.

I would have commended him for trying something anything.

and it is on record Ben's performances coming off injury

there is a short lease that should be applied to break a trend, that is called coaching.

Yeah I am sure the rats D wasn't in prevent mode or anything.

BTW how did that tied score work out?

oh yeah it didn't so his best football of the game was too little too late and simply not good enough

yeah too bad the Steelers didn't by a miracle pull this one out because we sure wouldn't see them playing down to another ****** team due to ****** coaching this year

SB I can taste it it's so close!

was he healthy?

he was questionable until game time

and looked out of it for most of the game

if you think he is completely healed from that injury I have some land to sell you
