Trubisky's passing chart - one completion over 20 yards, 5 behind LOS

I don't have the least bit of problem with a well timed screen. In fact I think they should get the ball in Harris' hands in space any way possible. My bigger problem is the sidelines.

When everything is to one side/ area its elementary to defend. Muth was saying they need to trust the QB more so to me that says coaching is calling these short plays and not on Mitch. Other teams probably see these charts and start laughing. You can't just blame Canada because Tomlin could easily over ride it. Not really sure what they are trying to accomplish

If I would have paid good money to see that regurgitated crap that the Steelers keep calling an NFL offense, I would have been severely pissed and taken some extra napkins and ketchup packets home with me.
I think Heinz took the ketchup when they left.

We seem to be doing the same thing as last year except with a few roll outs thrown into the mix. The problem is the opposing defense seems to be playing close to the LOS and attacking our short passes as they did the last year also.

The problem could be one ultra conservative coach up top that hires completely inept coaches on offense and makes almost zero investment in the OL believing weapons are the solution (weapons that remain in the holster no less).

So now we have the most conservative and least physical offenses ever seen. Maybe spend a little money on both sides of the ball too?

Well these things and we don’t have a HOF QB covering up the warts anymore.

Don't forget Colbert. He, along with Tomlin and input from position coaches did all the drafting, UDFA's, etc.

Once upon a time, Ben was getting sacked hundreds of times a year. Then along came Todd Haley and Leveon Bell, and when Ben got pressured, he just dumped it off to Bell. We also had the greatest 5 year receiver in the history of the league, who never ever quit on a play like DJ and Claypool. People raved about how great our offensive line had suddenly become, because the sack total went way down, and the young Bell was a special runner who could make something out of nothing. So there was no need to ever draft any linemen, right?

Bell and Brown turned into *** holes, but the genius in sunglasses had clearly fallen in love with the zero yard pass. No linemen were ever drafted early, Ben got hurt, and you get what we've had since the 2019 season opener, without an offensive adjustment since.

Self-explanatory:

The one completion to Pickens for 22 yards made me say, "Why the wait?"

4 passes over the middle of the field, exactly one of more than 5 yards.

Flaccid.

Well what do you know, Harris doesn't have any 20+ yard runs either. He is rated very low on what I call big plays as a runner or receiver ( 20 + yard plays ) compared to the other starting backs. Near last! The offense will continue to struggle is we don't hit BIG plays. END.

This Turbisky and Harris combination sucks! It sounds like a bad drink. Like the one the fans need to suffer though every Sunday.

He's not calling the plays. Just like last week, they are playing in their fears and not throwing downfield. Heck, Muuth can get open all day in the middle yet his longest completion was 8 yards. They practiced the long throws down the sideline all through camp yet we have seen none in 2 games.

Don't feel lonely as I'm not sure even they know what they are trying to accomplish ...........................

I never really thought of it that way, but this might be more accurate than I had ever considered. Bell was an amazing talent with his ability to wait and pick his lanes, I don't think I've ever seen his running style before or since. Of course Brown, ******* crazy as he turned out to be, was also a once in a generation type WR, and we all know how special Ben was in his prime. It might be that our coaching philosophy took that talent level into account and this team as a whole hasn't been able to transition without those special skills.

I hear yaz BUT I think our defense is the highest paid defense in the NFL.

As a side note, for the love of all that is holy, the paying members didn't used to see the edits on the board, can we please turn that **** off for those of us who have a habit of using big boy words? Just asking. :)

They should stop staring how rude of them.
