This whole transgender bathroom issue just proves Americans are ******* idiots who have way too much time on their hands and not nearly enough real problems.

Who has encountered a transgendered person using a public bathroom and what real problem did it create? Anyone?

I have encountered women using the men's bathroom because the line for the women's room was ridiculous. I thought it was bullshit because it increased my wait time and was a double standard, but I managed to shrug it off and go on with my life.

There's no way to enforce this law, why even discuss it?
 
In my entire life I've never seen a strange woman pee in a public restroom nor to my knowledge had one of them watch me pee. There are stalls. I've been in plenty of unisex public bathrooms too. The idea that a transgender person who is passing as female should be forced to go into the men's restroom doesn't seem right to me either. That's really just asking for harassment and even violence.

I guess call me a libertarian on this issue...as long as you're not doing anything inappropriate like attempting to look under stalls or exposing yourself to children, pee where you want to pee. There are female on female perverts and male on male perverts. Keeping people to their own gender appropriate restroom won't prevent perverts from doing what they do. If you're worried about your kids get off your *** and accompany them to the restroom. That's what I did til they were old enough that I didn't have to worry

It's funny because women think it's perfectly fine to use the men's room when they have to pee badly enough (I'm one of them....when I gotta go, I gotta go)....but allow a man into the women's room and all hell breaks loose. I'm with you, onefor....accompany your kids until they are old enough, teach them about stranger danger. It doesn't bother me who I pee with...I use the stalls.

I think this is going to lead to perverts pretending to be trannys and trying to sneak a peak or women being assaulted in the bathrooms. The only solution I see is to have 3 bathrooms. Mens, women's, and a single stall family/unisex bathroom

I just find this idea preposterous. The vast majority of sexual assaults are not committed in public bathrooms...they are committed by people the victim knows and trusts. Public bathrooms where anyone could walk in at any time hardly seem conducive to sexual assaults by strangers. You think there's something special about bathrooms that make people more likely to assault someone? At worst you might get peeping toms...but do you really think the world is full of men who would go to all of the trouble of dressing like a tranny in public just to get a glimpse of some random women peeing? Are there a few people in the world like that? Maybe. Are they rampant? I highly doubt it.

How do you enforce such a law by the way? Can a policeman stop someone coming out of the bathroom for looking too masculine and ask to see their genitals? What if they actually had the surgery? It's ridiculous...never gonna happen. It's an irrelevant issue.

The world is full of sick people. Take a look at the Megan's law site and I bet you will be shocked how many sex offenders near your area. Whether or not they are going to attack someone in a bathroom is another story, but even just having a guy in the women's bathroom is something that I don't think too many women would feel comfortable with. I know you can't stop all pervs like a guy spying on other guys or even little boys, but allowing people to use whatever bathroom they feel like seems like a bad idea to me.

Plenty...and the vast, vast majority have molested someone they know, in a private place. They haven't attacked random people in public bathrooms. I'm not saying it could never happen, but if you want to worry about your loved ones being sexually assaulted, your worries are misdirected. Look at their coaches, baby sitters, clergy members, teachers, neighbors, dates...those are the people statistically you have to worry about. A random attack in a public restroom is akin to being struck by lightning.

Don't get too caught up in the hype. Alot of these people were minors when they got put on the list, and a bunch more are on for silly **** like urinating in public.

There's something like 800,000 on the registry right now. Most of them are college guys banging drunk coeds, guys banging high school girls, teachers banging students, and uncles banging nieces. Very few are "stranger danger" cases.

John Walsh and his fear machine lobotomized America's common sense.
