Please name the last politician you recall you could believe would do what they say? Not attacking you. Just seems a very general comment.

That is correct....However people seem to believe Trump and his policies are pretty wild and extreme. Now I am not saying that the country does not need some more extreme policies, but implementing them is another story, Also his constant back tracking and stance changing makes him unbelievable. For instance deporting all the illegals I am not against, but I dont think it is logistically / financially possible. I think Trump would have been better off setting more modest goals. He has basically no political experience and has alienated a lot of people. Working with congress will be a nightmare for him. Hopefully if he wins he can do at least some of the stuff he says.

The major problem we have with fuel costs is not crude production related. Its refining capacity. We have actually lost capacity in the lase 10-20 years with no new refineries being built since the 70s.

This surge of anti-Semitism has been unsettling to many, but is hitting one group especially hard: Jewish political reporters who cover Trump, many of whom who say they are regularly subject to anti-Semitic harassment by his supporters online.

When Jewish journalist Julia Ioffe published a lengthy profile of Donald Trump’s wife Melania in April, for instance, her computer was reportedly flooded with an avalanche of angry, anti-Semitic tweets in response. Ioffe began retweeting the attacks to highlight their unsettling intensity, such as photoshopping a Jewish star used by the Nazi regime onto her clothing or digitally inserting her face into an image of a person detained the Auschwitz concentration camp. She also received death threats by phone and email, prompting Ioffe to solicit the help of the Anti-Defamation League and file a police report alleging that the hateful messages included a “threat to kidnap or injure a person.”

My response to the premise of this article - Barry and Benjamin Netanyahu, and Barry's US - Israel relations during the past 8 years. There is concrete evidence to show that Barry is and has always been an anti-semite. So...let's call Trump one too!

The online hate doesn’t appear beholden to any political ideology, targeting seemingly any prominent writer that blasts Trump — both liberal and conservative. In late April, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro recounted the anti-Semitic backlash he received for criticizing Trump, saying, “I have never received the amount of anti-Semitic hate I currently do each day for the crime of criticizing The Great Trump.” Two weeks later, Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic received an email from someone saying that he will be “sent to a camp” if Trump wins the presidency.

The connection between Trump and internet-based anti-Semitism has gotten so bad that The Donald’s name and image is now brandished as an excuse to unleash insults whether or not he is being discussed. In mid-May, a Twitter account sporting an image of Trump attacked a Jewish reporter at the Charleston Post and Courier for commenting on shifting opinions regarding the Confederate flag, tweeting, “I guess daddy didn't love her enough to get her a nosejob for her Bar Mitzvah.” The account’s bio notes that liberals should be sent “straight to the ovens.”

And finally, to get to the bottom of the issue here:

The growing culture of hate shows few signs of slowing down, and reporters are increasingly concerned the vitriol won’t stop so long as Trump refuses to condemn the attacks — and stop attacking reporters himself.

“I’m not surprised that Trump supporters feel comfortable assaulting journalists on Twitter,” Lerner said. “Trump is leading by example.”

First, being ok with anti-Semitic attacks I am not. I live in a very, very Jewish area and I'm proud to call many Jews my friends. My youngest son is 13, and attended his - like - fourteenth bar-mitzvah yesterday alone. These families, we know them well. I've worked for two Israeli companies and professionally am well connected. Enough background (it won't matter, you'll still hurl insults).

Here's what I am 'ok' with. Pointing out the double standard.

I hearken back to the days of W. The insults, the names, the death threats that were hurled incessantly were revolting and scary. He was called Hitler, and at times worse, directly by the Liberal media - over and over. Now, some of these same journalists that tried to drive daggers into the hearts of Bush, Romney, McCain, Carson, and anyone else with an R after their name (stopping at saying literally nothing, no matter how vile or hurtful) have their panties in a knot because they are now receiving similar treatment in backlash???

I say touché. I would never go the anti-Semite route, but what do these journalists think will happen? When they, themselves, set the standard for hurling vile insults, do they not expect it to come back in return?

Jerrold Nadler (Congressman, Jewish), Dave Lindorff (Salon - wrote an article titled “Bush and Hitler: The Strategy of Fear"), Paul Krugman (Jewish, - NY Times), Michael Moore, and a THOUSAND others compared Bush to Hitler in pictures, writing and in MOVIES. That is just ONE example. We could go on with the insults Whoopie and Rosie and Oprah have thrown, the vile and unfair hit pieces by NBC and MSNBC, and so on. It could fill the Library of Congress.

Now, Trump is surging, and these journalists are surprised they are receiving backlash? LOL. It is comical to me that you, now, take issue with this but were complicit in the prior attacks.

I don't condone the methods. It shouldn't be personal. But don't forget - THEY made it personal long ago.

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

A good friend of mine, who not long ago ran for Congress and lost in a close race, shared these thoughts yesterday regarding the latest hit piece from CBS - an article that once again tries to portray Trump Supporters as violent, ignorant, racist bigots inciting violence. His words were brief regarding the CBS article:

"Trump protesters turn violent? The protesters were waving Mexican flags, burning American flags, spewing vulgarities, yet it's The Trump protesters? The nexus of the agitators and the complicit media is what is giving rise to Trumpism, and scenes like this with reports like this only cause it to rise higher and higher."​

Trump IS the result of the Liberal media calling Bush Hitler. He is a result of the double standards. He is a result of the bias and incorrect articles that appear that people see through. He is a result of these obvious attacks. He is a result of posts, like yours above, that conveniently and intentionally overlook and forgive the racist, vile posts about Repbulicans and Conservatives by your Liberal media, while then having the audacity to complain if similar insults come in your direction. The longer you and the media attack conservatives for a sin begun by your side, perpetuated by your side, made habit by your side, the more it fuels Trumpism.

Was at a BBQ yesterday. Avoided the topic of politics altogether until the very end when I was getting ready to leave. A couple people were talking about the Obama transgender bathroom thing, so I started talking. They were against it- but it was mostly because it was a stupid law- they were bikers and they don't give a **** who pees with whom....just that it shouldn't be forced. One lady mentioned that she had never been political before and never voted before, but because of Trump's message, she is voting for the first time in her life....for Trump. (She is older than I am, and I'm 42). Her husband is also voting for Trump. So many people seem to be coming out of the woodwork now for Trump.
