What happened was ALL Trump protestors were forced across the street from the San Diego Convention Center and NO protestors were allowed near it. There was a HUGE police presence. This segregation of pro-Trumpers and anti-Trumpers continued all day until the Trump rally ended in the Convention Center - THEN a huge contingent of Trump supporters (mostly younger males) made their way unencumbered by the SDPD over across the train tracks and towards downtown and began harassing the anti-Trumpers who had been there peacefully all day- and I mean aggressively challenging them to fights, cursing, etc. All with the cops standing mere feet away from them with their backs turned.

In my photo you see the aftermath to where some extremely passionate hispanic anti-Trumpers were defending their choice to protest Trump to the hating pro-Trumpers and were met by a sneak attack, completely acting in concert, spraying of pepper spray by the two guys in the pic. The pepper spray went everywhere - you cans see it’s direction bending in the shot by the strong winds that day - Several people, including myself, experienced an instant burning in our lungs an extreme burning to our eyes.

Leftwing editor suspended for encouraging riots at Donald Trump rallies

Vox deputy editor Emmett Rensin was suspended by the media site Friday for encouraging people to riot at Donald Trump rallies.

Vox editor-in-chief Ezra Klein said in a statement that Mr. Rensin’s conduct “violated Vox’s standards and Emmett has been suspended as a consequence.”

“We at Vox do not take institutional positions on most questions, and we encourage our writers to debate and disagree,” Mr. Klein said. “But direct encouragement of riots crosses a line between expressing a contrary opinion and directly encouraging dangerous, illegal activity.”

Rensin posted a series of tweets Thursday night encouraging people to riot at Mr. Trump’s presidential rallies.

Completely disagree. These protests are simply raising a voice and beating back the hateful, bigoted, racist rhetoric Trump has been spewing out of his potty mouth for months on end. . Trump has a right to be a bigoted, racist *******, and protesters have a right to raise their voice in opposition. But nobody has a right to be violent in the process, that's where you draw the line.

I keep hearing this vitriol about bigoted this and racist that coming from Trump but all I can find is him telling the truth about illegal immigrants from Mexico. I have yet to hear or read a quote of his that is any of what he is being accused of. He wants to delay immigration from Countries with Islamic terrorist threats. Indeed, Trump seems to have ratcheted down the hate speech against Mexicans & Muslims, at least on this afternoon. What transpired was 45 minutes of airy, inconsequential blabbering. It reminded me of public speaking class where the assignment was to get up and speak for as long as you could to fill up the alotted time. Trump exhibits a bare cupboard of actual concepts and ideas on what he'd do as president. I don't think he has any idea. He's simply repeating superficial talking points that he thinks the crowds want to hear. Oh, and he's gonna make America great again. Can't forget the punchline. For sure there are masses of folks out there, many here on this board, that consider this man a good fit to lead the country. It's sheer lunacy.

If they're rioting and causing violence, like most of the paid protesters at Trump events, then there is no problem with pepper spraying them. That is non-violent compared to rioting, burning cars, jumping on police cars, hitting people, throwing things at people, punching people, etc. like the protestors have done at pretty much every location.
