His views of women are well documented. He doesn't believe in spousal rape, and his ex wife Ivana has said he was sexually abusive. That lines up.
I don't care either way, Trump will never be president. My point was more that it's silly to joke about Trump being impotent, because American women would marry a mossy sloth if it had that much money.

Cruz is a very good debater, but Trump took advantage of his New York values comment. This was Trump's best debate. He's getting the hang of it...

Donald Trump will never be President of the United States. Period.
I talked about this earlier in this thread: Trump has no base. He has popularity, but it's not the same.
The base turns out even if they have to hold their nose and vote for the candidate. Trump does not have that kind of support. He's popular now, in large part because attack ad season hasn't started yet. Should he maintain some or even most of that popularity, enough to win the nomination, he will never turn out the GOP base. Ask Mitt Romney, he'll tell you all about it. Trump will never get the turnout he needs to beat Hillary who will galvanize the base behind being the first vagina to hold the office.
There is some election math you Trump supporters aren't being realistic about. Hispanics, Blacks and women are NOT going to vote for Trump, no matter how many manipulated polls and celebrity photo ops/tweets attempt to suggest it. And that's just demographics. Looking at the electoral college map, he isn't even going to win his home state. Which of those states that Romney needed is Trump going to flip? Ohio? Not bloody likely. Florida? Again, the geezers aren't coming out for him. No dice. Even if he flipped VA and NM it would still be an electoral landslide for Hildegard.

You may recall his speech, post Hillary Dem campaign, in June of 2008 when he claimed the seas would stop rising.
Very elegant, and true, because they never were.
He upended the DNC machine, won SM, got elected, did **** all, widened the racial abyss, widened the income gap, and helped bring the greatest country in the world back towards the median.
Trump is far from ideal, but he is very different from all the rest, in a similar way to Barry in 2008.
Doubt he'll claim sea levels as an achievement, but who knows?

But the issues you named are Conservative Bubble issues, not America's issues. Most Americans who vote don't care about any of that ****. Look how many people actually support Obama's ridiculous "reasonable gun blah blah blah" plan.
Most Americans don't follow politics. They follow Ellen and the Kardashians. Those are the people who will actually be voting and the idea of a clam in the oval office makes their sense of entitlement tingle.

Very good point. I think the feeling amongst conservatives is that enough of those people have now realized that, in fact, having leftist scum run the country is a bad thing, and are ready to try something else.

I think what frustrates me the most is the failure of the Republican Party to realize the messages Trump is saying resonates with the American people. And that failure is going to lead to at least 4 years of Hillary Clinton, or even worse, Bernie Sanders.

The continued re-districting of American states to further segregate red and blue voters leads the false impression that off-year elections that favor Republicans is somehow indicative of the "Will of the People". And all you hillbillies think every off-election, that your religious-right, gun-toting, anti-science, bigoted viewpoint is "gaining ground", when nothing could be further from the truth.
Trump is winning because of two things: hard-core Nationalism platform with big government (or as big of government as the democrat) and telling us like it is about how stupid Washington is being run.
The truth is Trump hasn't bastioned smaller government or "moral values" or any of that ****. He's saying big government is here to stay and they all suck, they are all corrupt and they are all incompetent. He's attacking Obama for his failures. He's attacking his fellow republicans for being part of the corrupt and incompetent system. He's attacking the weakening of America because we're TOO tolerant, we're TOO trusting, TOO afraid to offend.
This isn't ANYTHING like what the Republicans have been platforming over the last decade. None of it.
Everything he's said about religion, gun rights, common core..... all just what people want to hear... not anything close to what he cares about as a person.
Again... when we finally get a Republican candidate that stops with all the religious, moral-righteousness, pro-gun, anti-abortion, state's rights bullshit and concentrates on issues people really care about: foreign policy, immigration reform, common sense gun rights, the economy, growing wage gaps, the rise of 30-hour workers, education reform, busting up bad public-sector unions with crazy pensions and benefits that are bankrupting states, infrastructure investment, anti-monopoly, common sense business regulations, government efficiency, tax reform.
Recent republicans mention some of these come election time, but none of them do anything when in office. Instead they continue to preach silly divisive issues like Planned Parenthood or NRA ****. Things that don't effect 90% of the people in this country for good or bad AT ALL.
It's like the minute they stop RUNNING for office in their narrow-minded, one-sided districts that support wacky, extreme ideas, they can't turn it off and start governing with some common sense.
If there's one thing about Donald Trump I sort of have this hopeful inkling about is that all the stupid **** he's saying to appease you neanderthals during the election process, he really doesn't believe in at all and the real, business savvy Donald Trump that understand compromise and efficiency and economics will be the one that runs the country.
