twitter updates from camp

This is completely off topic, but where did all these mouthy, argumentative ******* on NFL Network come from? There are like 3 women on there seem to be constantly talking ****, acting like know-it-alls and generally trying to stir up an argument on the panel of hosts on every subject. They all appeared at the same time and they are driving me nuts.

Part of the NFL trying to woo back the female fans.

Nfl Network sucks. You would think they would cover all teams. Nope. I've seen scant coverage of the Steelers. Other then trying to stir up controversy behind Sanders comments... Nothing

On this note, I used to watch NFL coverage all of the time, but with all of the former players on, it has become worthless. Virtually every former player is a homer and overly critical of their former rivals. They are more about attention and analysis and when they do "analyze" it is the same narratives that we have heard for the past decade. Last year, guys were still talking about the Steelers as a power run team. They haven't been that for a long time.

NFL Network has no excuse for this. They should have dedicated staffers to each team, or at least each division, that is used for training camp and game coverage. Limit the time former players get and get more analysts on TV. There is so much talent out there that is being wasted away while a bunch of ex players are yucking it up on set. I saw Warren Sapp at training camp the other day and the only person that was impressed that he was there was himself.

Exactly they should be whipping around covering all teams. No bias.

that **** is truly difficult to watch. idgaf that these people are in the HOF. that absolutely does zero for their ability to be a newscaster.

Shawn Merriman has been surprisingly good. Tomilson sucks.

And in this case, keep Merriman and tell Tomlinson thanks for his efforts, but we need to move on. Guys on this message board, bloggers, writers, etc. have a better pulse on the NFL than many former players.

I guess I am fine waiting until next year to extend some of these guys. I think Allen is on the verge but I said the same thing last year so maybe the FO is waiting for him to take that next step before handing him cash. With the new CBA we can just carry over this 6 million for next year and see how Allen, Worilds, and Gilbert play out this year and decide what to do and who gets paid next. The thing is they would have to either get on top of re-signing them right away or allow a player to hit the open market and hope you could pull them back in and no one steals them away. Risk vs. reward.

Tomlinson is pretty bad...like Emmitt without the humor.

Thy need a house cleaning and a fresh style. Their "reports" are so error-ridden it's absurd...and the tiresome rehashing of the rehash drives me to play video games instead of watching for anything remotely positive on the Steelers.

See my comment above - rather have Emmitt butcher the English language than these clowns...

At least Merriman has found his second calling...
Just a reminder of our FAVORITE broadcaster...
