My biggest customer is killing it because of TRUMP! I said this throughout the primaries. You naysayers, skeptics, non believers and commies who doubted him can suck it and swallow! Vision, baby! I had it from before day one.

That is a fact. Indy and Spike killed it for Trump on this forum, and never once - seriously, not one time - expressed doubts about his prospects for winning.

They were right. I was wr... err, not completely correct.

I was BIG TIME WRONG. I had resigned myself to watching Hillary finish off a once great country. I am not a Trump supporter, but at least he ain't the She Devil. I still would like to see him reach out to the Libertarian's, just to piss off the Alt-right and Never Trumpers.

You've got a touch of the Fonz in you.

I felt early on that he was drawing people unlike anyone had in the GOP since Reagan. I didn't believe that the fraudulent voting base of the Hildabeast could be overcome. Especially given her chosen status. Trump is certainly exceeding many people's expectations, mine included.

MAGA!

Probably too late to cash in on USX stock running up. Thanks for the tip Indy. (******.....)
I'm with Steelin, I was hoping Trump would win but I wasn't sure if he could overcome both the automatic 47% and all the voter fraud.

I voted for Cruz in the primary. I figured he stood up for 2 major things that I appreciated over the last few years. He fought Obamacare, and he fought for gun rights. He earned my vote.

However, once it was Trump, I had no problem throwing my support behind him. But I wasn't sure he would win, either. Even knowing the media is full of ****, you still get a little caught up in what they say. You know, they can't be this wrong, can they? They have their reputations, one would think. But they don't give a damn, they are complete hacks.

Not a Trump supporter but I have said numerous times if I have to work at dragging someone towards the Constitution and smaller government I would rather start at center right than far Neo-Socialist left.

I wouldn't have voted for a blind deaf brainless monkey over Hildabeast. I'll be happy with the Supreme Court not turning into a far leftist bunch of unconstitutional goons who make law from the bench.

Is it me or does the news not cover significant business developments that Trump is working on, or has produced?

I was wrong...I admit it. I was as shocked as anybody that he won.

That said, despite the US Steel CEO's comments, I will stand by my statement that there will not be any steel mills opening up in Pittsburgh anytime soon. If there are I will pay Indy's contributor fees for a year.

Despite my dislike for Trump I have never doubted that the idea of creating a more hospitable business climate in this country would get the economy moving. Trickle down baby, it works, been saying it for years.

The "establishment" almost always gets what it wants, and it wanted Clinton, so I thought it was a lost cause. Not only did Trump have to fight a totally slanted, lying media, he had to overcome vast voter fraud. But some how he did it. The real #s were nowhere near as reported. I bet Trump had 70% of the vote. Just look at his stumps vs. theirs: It wasn't even close. My mom-in-law works at a voting site in PA (she is life long Dem) and she reported some very, very shady things going in Dems favor.

We did tear down most of them anyways. Sandcastle is much better!

Thanks but you don't need to do that, but keep an eye on ATI in Vandergrift. I was in USS - Great Lakes yesterday and they've been booming since the election. USS might re-open their plants in Alabama and Texas. The only brand new mill being built right now is Big River Steel in Arkansas. There could be more if Trump's plan to rebuild our infrastructure comes true. Or at least some closed mills in Allenport, Stuebenville, Yorkville etc...could start back up. Even if no new mills get built at least he's going to protect existing mills from Chinese dumping. That's all I care about. That's my livelihood.

Agree, we won't see any new mills open but the existing ones will do better. The return on investment just isn't there for a new mill. Further, the local workforce no longer has that skill set any more and no one can afford to do on-the-job training like the mills use to do. I'm old enough that I can say I used to work in a steel mill as summer help when I was in college. In fact at that time you could make enough money in the mill over a summer to pay for most of your next year of college. What a concept.

Right. The thing I still have trepidation about with Trump is that he thinks he can return us to the jobs of the past. It isn't going to happen, at least not to a massive degree. Automation has permanently killed a lot of the jobs he's talking about and will continue to do so. We need to be preparing for that...we need to be training students to design systems and software, not to sew clothes and mill steel.

It's also nice that Carrier is keeping some of its jobs here but I'm not in favor of government handouts for cherry picked companies that lets government choose winners and losers, any more than I was when Obama "saved" the auto industry. A favorable tax and regulatory environment should be in place for all, so that all can compete here. Hopefully that's what he's moving toward.

My dream is that he does what he said he would do.
