We All Know Tomlin Won't Get Fired -- How About This...?

Yes they were in their prime. They were also Mr. Big Chest and Bell was rapping and smoking weed and getting caught and all that. I'm sorry, but like Mike Singletary said years ago, you ain't winning with those kind of guys. I feel Tomlin took those teams, with those guys they way they were at that time, as far as they were gonna go. Upon reflection, the Steelers should have traded those two guys when the value was the highest. Now, had you said that to me then, I would have said you are nuts, in all honesty. But with their selfishness I don't think winning was ever all that important to them.

Brown sure as hell ain't Mr. Big Chest anymore...he knows that. At least he still has talent. Bell, ****. Comparing those guys now what they were is dumb. Totally different situations.

And, dammit, I'm not saying this because I support Tomlin. He's gotta go.
No, what's dumb is harping on Bell's and Brown's personalities, and not acknowledging that their performance on the field is what truly mattered -- like when they gained nearly 300 combined total yards and scored 4 touchdowns in the playoffs in 2017, yet the 13-3 Steelers still lost to a very average Jacksonville team. You "ain't winning" with that type of production? Bullshit. That loss didn't have a goddamn thing to do with Big Chests, rapping, or smoking weed.

Yeah, Brown ain't Mr. Big Chest anymore, but he still lied about his vaccination status, and guess what? It doesn't matter, because Arians knows that AB produces, no matter how big of an ******* he is. Tomlin had both of these guys 4 years ago at the height of their abilities, and couldn't do **** with it.

Tomlin does need to go. At least we can agree on that obvious point.

I don't believe you can separate the two. I think fielding a team is a constant balancing act between production and keeping personalities in line with the idea that winning is the most important thing.

That 2017 team and those talented guys, I just don;'t see the edge in them that the '05 team had or the '08 team had. I think that goes to personalities, not just those two guys, but others. I blame Tomlin and the FO for drafting guys that don't have that edge. I just think he took those teams with their makeup as far as they were gonna go.

Yeah, winning is important. And the Steelers won plenty in 2017. They were 13-3 in the regular season. They finished in the top five in the entire league on offense AND defense. They were a touchdown favorite at home in the divisional round, against a team who'd scored 10 points and thrown for a grand total of 87 yards the week before. There is no good reason on God's green earth to assume that losing their first playoff game was as far as they were going to go, personalities or otherwise.

Look, we are closer on this then you may think. Believe me, I do blame Tomlin a good bit for that loss. The brillance of stating a possible rematch with the Patriots before you even played a playoff game was stupid. But I also think that the answer on those teams is a bit more than the idea that Tomlin wasted that talent. I just think he kept the lid on things more than we know.

Actually the lights have been out since Tomlin won his last playoff game and he will never win another one again. Your move Art Rooney II.

If Rooney stays with Tomlin as head coach it's safe to say we will be 7-10 for the next few years.

We got lucky to win the Titans game. For next year I'll go with 6-11 or worse. Tomlin, Mike Tomlin. Beat a team when they try, okay. Beat a team when they tank it, it's a reflexion of their head coach.

Don't be a lying douchebag

It over As$#ole. Last playoff win was when? Your really think this team will win a playoff game in 2022 or 2023?

The usual suspects.

Yes there is. 2016 is the last time Tomlin won a playoff game. It will be 2022 in a short while and I'll bet any amount we don't win a 2023. That's is SEVEN years.

F()king with my signature or editing my posts lame.

So, is it just pork on New Years for good luck or can I substitute kielbasa?
I was thinking about throwing some in the crock pot along with sauerkraut, then topping it over mashed potatoes.

Can't remember if it should be for New Years Eve or New Years Day.
Advice appreciated.
