The Russian people, by and large are opposed to the war. Many of the Soldiers are opposed to the point that some have deserted or refused to fight. The Russian army is doing mostly nothing in terms of wins or gains. Most of the gains Russia has made has been through the Wagner group. I posted a story earlier about how the Wagner group pretty much destroyed the Ukrainian 28th Mechanized Brigade, rendering the Brigade mostly ineffective due to personnel replacements that are inexperienced and afraid to fight. Seems mercenaries are about all Putin has capable of fighting and winning.

Amazing how little information we get here and what we do receive is incorrect at best and propaganda at worst. We used to deride Provda but now we're effectively in the same boat.

Western media won't say it, but you know how the Russians feel about Putin and this war? The Ukrainians feel pretty much the same way about Zelensky.

And how does Putin afford to pay mercenaries? From the extra oil and gas money he's getting thanks to higher market prices.

Quite a few Ukrainians here in Poland, most since the war started. On the plus side, it has allowed me to try borscht (beet soup). Always wanted to try it. Wish I hadn’t. **** was awful.

It's an acquired taste that gets beaten into kids with Germanic/Eastern European heritage. Simple peasant food that allowed the family to utilize all the scraps available.

One step upwards from garbage rolls, the toleration of which requires even more indoctrination during youth.

Neither of these have any place in the modern diet, where scraps can get put into dogfood.

I would disagree about one half only caring because democrats are spending the money. I think most of us in that half actually don’t want us getting involved in another European war that we have no interest in.

All I'm gonna say is that when is comes time to defend THIS nation, I hope I don't hear the same ******** cheering this nonsense start crying about how we can't defend ourselves. In my opinion, it's why China hasn't hit Taiwan yet. Russia and Ukraine haven't bled us out far enough yet. When they do, China will strike and we will be powerless to stop it.

I just don't understand why more of our military leaders don't speak out - even anonymously - and explain that we are crippling our military by giving up so much vital hardware. I mean 2 million Howitzer rounds? Really?

It’s not just the rounds. It’s so much more. We are putting our military and our nation on a path to failure. I mean our military had to borrow howitzer ammo from South Korea. And they made us promise we wouldn’t give it to Ukraine. How pathetic is that?

I’m gonna disagree because if Trump was doing what Biden is doing in regards to Ukraine, republicans would be defending it and the left would be losing its mind. We both know that’s true.
