Week 17 Game Thread

I attribute this to poor development of the QB position. This might mean it takes an extra year or two to get the starter battle ready. Maybe because of this Rudy is starting to look capable, maybe the same happens with KP.
The talent is there. Kenny has been almost two seasons in and has shown no progress. You ride the hot hand and stick with Rudy

Tough to foresee that happening, but an interesting thought

I’m afraid the deck will be stacked again against Rudolph in camp again in favor of Pickett by Tomlin, not right but that’s probably reality if Tomlin is the coach
Can’t disagree

Metcalf got away with a hold and a nice push off on Porter. Got the better of Joey they are saying.

Two things of note (not Steeler-related):

1. The Rats showed their hand too early. Miami will be ready should they meet again in the POs.
2. Arizona is obviously better than their record - they took down the Eagles today; so, I'm still sore about losing to them but, hey, they get paid to play too.

Good to see that Connor is knocking out a nice career. Ran for 128 today.

What’s up with Boz? It’s not bad windy? We got to kick the ball in the end zone cause our special teams kickoff coverage is terrible.

How does Geno keep avoiding the rush and floating perfect throws right over the heads of our guys and falling into the receiver’s hands? This is Geno Smith. He throws everything perfectly. Don’t remember him being this good. He’s looking like a pro bowler. I admit our D does that to some QBs.

That pass rush is getting close.

The Steelers make a lot of average QB’s look good.

Evaluation of the QB position might be the bigger issue.

He hasn't been given a real chance to play since 2019.

He really wasn't bad at all in the two starts he had between 2020 and 2021.

Who's to say he wouldn't have been significantly better than either Trubisky or Pickett had they just started him since the beginning of last season after signing him to that contract?

How would things have maybe turned out differently for Matt Canada?

This is the best the offense has look probably since the 11-0 start during the 2020 season.

The whole thing does not reflect well on Tomlin, Khan or Kevin Colbert, to be honest.

Bubbles calls for short kicks thinking we can stop them short of the 25… it only works occasionally but they keep going back to it

Add in keeping James Connor. Then taking the C early, and a G or T instead of KP
