Washington state elector says he won’t vote for Clinton

A Democratic electoral college elector in Washington state is refusing to vote for Hillary Clinton even if she wins the popular vote. The reason? He said he believes Clinton is a “criminal” who doesn’t care enough about American Indians and “she’s done nothing but flip back and forth.”

If he sticks to his word, Clinton will need 271 electoral college votes to win the White House.

Hillary Clinton hasn't been elected, but some in GOP are already talking impeachment

Some top Republicans are already floating the idea of impeaching Hillary Clinton and yet she hasn’t even been elected president.

The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas, brought up that scenario in an interview Wednesday.

“Assuming she wins, and the investigation goes forward and it looks like an indictment is pending, at that point in time, under the Constitution, the House of Representatives would engage in an impeachment trial. It would go to the Senate, and impeachment proceedings and removal would take place,” he said.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, who is in a tight reelection race, told a local paper Monday that Clinton’s actions involving her private email servers as secretary of state are impeachable offenses.

“She purposefully circumvented it (the law), this was willful concealment and destruction,” he said. “I would say yes, high crime or misdemeanor, I believe she is in violation of both laws.”

In an interview with The Washington Post, Rep. Trent Franks, R-Arizona, the chairman of a House Judiciary subcommittee, said he’s personally convinced she should be impeached because of her influence deriving from the Clinton Foundation, the report said.

“It is my honest opinion that the Clinton Foundation represents potentially one of the greatest examples of political corruption in American history,” he said. “Now that perspective may be disproven, time will tell. But given that conviction on my part, I think all options are definitely on the table.”

In either case, the FBI should slow walk any indictment until Obama is gone. It can wait until late January, hell, it has gone this long. She can't pardon herself even if she wins, and Trump certainly won't if he wins.

I have to agree hamy. There is no way on God's green earth the Dems will allow their President elect to endure the partisan degradation and the public humiliation of any trumped up (pun intended) court proceedings. Harry and Nancy will empty the play book, muster the media and gather both money and favors till the odds are well in their favor for the rug to be pulled over the whole thing.

Now if Trump wins, and he may.....then it will just take a little while longer to make it all go away. The Clintons may even have to take a vacation to some undisclosed location for a little bit...... but the speeches will still continue.

Trump Vs. Hillary: It May Be a Tie.

What happens in the event of a tie on Tuesday? This is addressed in the 12th Amendment. Each state would send its results to the vice president who acts as president of the Senate. This would occur in December. In the event of a tie, the new Congress would defer to the House of Representatives who decides the next president. The Senate then decides who would be the vice president.

This last occurred in 1824 between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson (who had the most popular votes). The House picked Adams. As a result, the four parties involved in that election split apart and resulted in the modern-day foundation we call Republicans and Democrats.

Since the House is Republican controlled, Trump would likely win in the event of a tie on Tuesday.

In the interim, between November 8 and the convening of a new Congress in January, there would likely be recounts, chaos and lawsuits. This would make the 2000-election ‘hanging chads’ in Florida look like a cakewalk. Clearly, there would be weeks more ‘election 2016.’
