It's almost as though they're trying to build a roster for when they find a QB worth the investment. Like, who do you think would've been the answer at QB since Khan has taken over?I think Kahn has improved the roster over his first 2 years as it had a lot of holes when he took over.
However, the Steelers as an organization seem focused on improving the roster everywhere except the most important position on the team, as if they can win without the QB position. They cannot. I don't really understand what this team is doing.
The other area of fair criticism is player development (which isn't Kahn's primary responsibility). This organization rarely develops its high draft picks into anything meaningfully improved in 2-3 years - at least recently. In the salary cap era, you just can't succeed without your high draft picks developing into multi-year major pieces of your team. We're not getting that type of development. Too many misses early in the draft.
Who was worth development? Or who was capable of developing someone? It isn't Clown-lin, that's been proven in spades. He's hopeless as a developer of QBs, even with his DAILY morning meetings. Total waste of time. It's almost as though they're trying to build a roster for when they find a QB worth the investment. It's just nonsense what you are saying. Who has really "developed" QB? I think QB, more than any position, the player needs to have qualities inherently or they just don't. The qualities may be a little different depending on the QB, but they have to have it. Jackson has his incredible athleticism. That isn't "developed." Ben had that ability to make lemonade out of lemons. Brady wouldn't lose. Bradshaw had that arm. Those things weren't "developed." I think you could get a litany of the greatest coaches in the world working with a Kenny Pickett and he will be what he is. The mistake was drafting the kid where they did.Who was worth development? You may be seeing that with a Brock Purdy. The guy lasted to the 7th for a reason. Kudos to him for doing what he is doing. But what great trait does he inherently possess?
Jayden Daniels wouldn't be bad. It's almost as though they're trying to build a roster for when they find a QB worth the investment. Like, who do you think would've been the answer at QB since Khan has taken over?
YepYou’re assigning way too much blame and credit to the GM, the guy with the most power in the organization is Tomlin.
