Does anyone know? Please spare me the 'he's old and washed up' lines. We still need him if this team has any hope of avoiding this guy.

it was a 4-6 week diagnosis, my guess is you'll see him right around the same time we get Jarvis Jones back. And that will also be a welcomed sight (who would have thought that??)

Why in the hell would we want Jones back? There is now a pass rush and the other team is being stopped on occasion

Because Moats is absolutely useless, and using a 36 yr old James Harrison as much as we are is going to wear him down considerably. Jones will be an improvement over Moats and allow Harrison to drop his snap counts and stay fresh if we do indeed go on a run.

Not soon enough. ******* Cortez Allen, look back for the ball! How many times will you get beat on the same play?

It says here he is back practicing but they can't predict when he'll return.

His old and washed up is still better than Cortez this year. Not sure what happened to him.

I would say look more towards the Jets or Titans game than this week. We could use him even if he was casted but I doubt he could tackle with one arm worth a ****. Ain't worried about Ike catching, snicker....

Moats already has a sack. Harrison has a sack. Moats has some value. The only thing I have seen from Jones is he makes me wonder if we could move archer to linebacker.

Moats has one sack in eight games, and it came in the Carolina game. Jarvis has two sacks in three games, one of them was also in the Carolina game. Jones has 14 tackles to Moats 11 in five less games. Harrison has one sack and 8 tackles in five games. I get that you hate the Jones pick, most of us do, but don't downplay his improvement that he was showing, or the fact that Moats is absolutely worthless. A 36 yr old James Harrison has taken snaps away from Moats, that's how much faith they have in Moats.

Has the team been playing better with or with out Jones on defense. Stats aside they stopped on several occasions one of the best offenses in the nfl last weekend with out Jones. Tackles are not that good from a stat standpoint, one it does not tell us where they happened. I will concede that Jones has gotten better, but even so he is a long ways from good. And your right I hate the Jones pick although I did not at first as I am not one of the guys that really follows college players like some folks on here do, I did not like him after I saw what he does for the team. As far as I am concerned Jones is to the defense what Limas Sweed was to the offense.

Now we have him and we are likely going to have him for a while so I hope your right and I'm wrong, I would love for him to come back and make us say James who?

We've also played pretty ****** without Jones, that's not a reflection on Jones at all. It's a reflection on the changes and adjustments the coaches have made. Don't forget, Jones went out halfway thru the second quarter of the Carolina game. It's not like Jones went out and the D instantly got better.

Not only has Moats offered little as a pass rusher, but he has not held the edge on rushes. Not saying Jones is a stud, but he has been more disruptive in less time.

The last thing this defense needs is another weak link in Jarvis. I'll stick with what we have now.

That is the REAL question, week link or not? The coaches are going to have to make a GOOD decision on who is best. Don't let draft pick place, or money paid make the decision. Use the good old fashioned coaching decision........ play who is best at the position.

Salute the nation

But the thing is while ike has been out our DB's actually catch the ball instead of knock them down all the time

Jarvis has been in since drafted. I have no faith in a coaching decision coming from captain cool shades.

I disagree. I honestly think that Jarvis has "made the turn" and as it has been stated above, his production this season, in the games played, is better than those who have come to fill in...

Like I said, I'll welcome back ALL THE STARTERS because this defense needs as much help as possible. Now, here's my caveat to the statement...

I think that we can keep rotating the NT position until Big Dan is up to speed. McClendon doesn't offer too much in run support, but, he can be disruptive on passing downs...

I'd much rather watch our defensive backs knock the football to the ground instead of turning around and watching the receiver score on them. Hell, that would be a HUGE improvement.

IMHO our best defensive game of the season was against the Panthers, when we had, then lost, 3 of our starters.

Better question is when will Polamalu figure out how to tackle again?
