The NFL Combine kicked off this week in Indianapolis and all eyes are on the quarterbacks. The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the market and they could go shopping during the NFL Draft.

NFL insider Ian Rapport broke down some of the quarterbacks on NFL Network.

The Steelers have been linked repeatedly to Malik Willis and he showed off his arm strength on this bomb!

Carson Strong had a nice day too.

.@NevadaFootball QB @CarsonStrong_ with a… strong throw!

The local Pittsburgh Panther Kenny Pickett had a solid performance today, even if his hands are small.

Ok so while im not big on taking a QB at 20, i like Pickett, Ridder, and Strong, though i think the last two will have to wait a year or two to start, and i doubt any of them are all timers

Willis is an undersized athletic beast who really reminds me too much of Kordell… there is probably a path to stardom with that arm but i have no faith our staff would ever get him there

I have notched Ridder up from I would be ok drafting him at some point past round 1 to I would like him if available in round 2.

My round 1 thinking of no QB hasn't changed.

I liked Strong, Howell, Pickett Ridder and Willis in that order... Outside the normal QBs getting attention EJ Perry from Brown and Zappe from WKU threw nice balls. With that said i would trade back or get one in the second rnd...

Howell is a pre boxed bust…. Baker mayfield 2.0… people will think he is good and has potential for years before eventually realizing that his style doesn’t work in the nfl… just enough to waste a half decade on him

IMO that is what all of these QB's are... Low level starters that will keep you in winning enough to waste a half a decade on... So i fully expect coach cool shades to trade up Willis.

Really bothered by the fact that Pickett is wearing gloves - indoors, against air.

Qb gloves are designed to maximize grip and throwing abilities… every qb should wear gloves every game, just like every wideout should have those extra grip gloves for catching the ball… I honestly never understood the reason people get irked at gloves….

Gotta get that hand on the ball somehow, gloves=bigger hand

Salute the nation

Someone is going to get a steal with Zappe.

Because QB's that use gloves indoors are guys who are going to struggle like all hell when playing outdoors in snow, rain or freezing conditions. The gloves give the QB less feel for the ball. How many baseball players wear gloves on their throwing hands when in the field? None. Because the players know that getting a feel for the ball is incredibly important.

Look, the guy has smaller hands and needs gloves to get a good grip. Okay. But I think it accurate to say that is not a good thing. Smaller hands = more likelihood to have bad contact in bad weather, greater likelihood for losing the ball when hit.

if a mobile QB is who Tombert likes... Ridder posted 40 time of 4.5 and 4.49

Except that isn’t true anymore… Pickett played his whole career at hienz without any bad weather issues and gloves have dramatically changed in material and design… most qbs are wearing them in bad weather these days..

I thought we went over the old wives tale that wearing gloves reducesctge capacity to throw accurately when ben was wearing gloves and yinzer nation went ballistic but i guess not…

Qbs often spend their early years not wearing them then start wearing one on their non throwing hand then finally accepting them later…

Sports Gloves arent like they used to be… its not dulling leather… it’s synthetic fabric that lets you grip better while still sensitive enough to feel through… we use a type at work for fine tuning things… dexterity gloves… they are better than hands by themselves in many tasks

I wouldn't mind Ridder in the 2nd. Very intriguing dude.

I saw a stat today on Picket and fumbling. He's had a lot of fumbles. I don't recall the numbers. The ball in the NFL is bigger as well. Him putting 2 hands on the ball every time he scrambles will be a must or he will fumble even more in the pros than he did in college.
