Why are the Steelers even considering Aaron Rogers?

Aaron Rogers will be 42 on Dec 2, 2025. Russell Wilson will be 37 on November 29, 2025.
Aaron Rogers had a serious leg injury that is hard to recover from at his age. Russell Wilson did have a calf injury last year but had age on his side.

The Steeler front office can't seriously think Rogers will allow them to be a Super Bowl contender more so than Russell Wilson.

Sign Russell Wilson.

Don't be used by Aaron Rogers in a three ring circus.

I read from the get go Tomlin wanted him. The reason they wouldn't promise Fields the starting gig.

Also......**** Russ. We all have seen enough of him.

I may have heard all the eplainations that are about to be given…………… before.

Aaron’s gotta have something to do between “Jeopardy” gigs……..

Salute the nation

Bajeezus isn’t there a thread all about A-A-Ron already??? If you checked it out it would answer your question. So here’s the cliff notes

Phuck Russ
He’s trash, proved it

Hell I’d rather take a chance on Rodgers (vomit)
Than pine for spent a$$ OldeRuss to come prove he sucks some more

just roll with Rudy and a draft pick

Oh yeah…and cuz Tomlin is a moron

Tomlin has no concept of coaching a guy up, or adjusting schemes to fit the strengths of the players. So, as a result, he only has the "really good player" option. He thinks Rogers is still a "Really good player" so it will all work.

He's wrong, so it will suck, or Rogers will never be in black and gold. That is my hope, and I bet we get Tomlin his benchmark 9-8 season with Rudolph and other QBs that we end up with.

I posted that same tweet in another thread then found this......LOL.

"Schefter reported Tuesday on his podcast that "we can only surmise" about Rodgers' mindset, but the general impression around the NFL is the four-time MVP "would like to sign with the Minnesota Vikings." To that end, he has "balked" at interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers and "resisted their overtures."

Mike Tomlin: " We want volunteers not hostages."
Aaron Rodgers: " Here hold my ayahuasca Mikey, while I hold YOU hostage."
Yep. Tomlin's failed quote about not wanting hostages but volunteers.....now here for the last two offseasons the organization put themselves into positions of being held hostage. Go figure.

Last year steelers averaged 22 points per game. The year before 18. Does Tomlin or Roger's think they can surpass that kind of offensive production? I don't.

Draft a QB for QB2, start Mason and use him like the Raven's did with Dilfer, less than 15 passes per game and ignore the middle of the field. Run, run, run, punt and depend on defense to keep games close. Boz is the leading points scorer averaging 12 points per game.

10-7 baby!! never a losing season. Tomlin beats Noll in wins. HOF coach!!!

Rejoice brothers and sisters!! bask in the greatness of mediocrity!!

Not with Clown-lins coaching, no way.
